GT3 Dealer Allocation Thread

"Current allocations have all been taken. We don't know how 2018 would look like."
#3228
This is where additional info would be nice like a) we expect get 2018 numbers by x b) you are x on the list c) we had x allocations for 2017
Seems a good number of US dealers are better at being a bit more open.

I would take that to mean that Canada hasn't received 2018 allocations yet like the US.

b) and c) I'm first time Porsche buyer. If there exists a "list", my position would be behind all the other more "valuable" customer.
I'm on the list only because I paid my deposit years ago and I was told I have a "pretty good chance" at that time.
This sucks, but there is plenty of time.

Number one is incoming.
But no news on number 2 or 3 .
All they say is be patient.
I want something ....I get nothing.

I find it hard to believe that US Dealers are saying they received all of 2018 allocations and Canada has received "(0)".
Is that typical??
I am not trying to wind people up but there is "0" consistency to anything that we are hearing.
Has any one in Canada received a "firm' allocation with a build slot??

Three Wheelin'
Not for 991.1 or GT4.. While the US always seem to come first, our allocations were not far behind. The first round here was almost nothing.. 918 owners and some "best customers" got 1st round allocations, but I know most are waiting.. I know they're coming.. but RL chatter makes it tough on people waiting..
Dealer has asked for my build 2 times now. I like my SA, good guy so I don't harass him. But no real info coming from that end.
I placed my deposit over 2.5 years ago. I have purchased a few cars from my dealer in the past, not a newbie.
I'm pretty confident I'm getting a car, but hopefully for spring 2018. Don't want to miss track season.

I hear you.. The last convo I had with my SA/Dealer was regarding the GT2RS. I've not mentioned anything about my incoming .2 GT3 allocation as I was told early on that allocations for me would likely come late q4... It helped that I knew where I stood in the overall picture (list, queue, etc).
I figure i've waited since 2015.. what's another few months..
Oh and I posted in local forum that we may have to entertain an AMG GTR GB!

I was told I got an allocation for November build, but it seems that allocation was given away or didn't materialize because now I'm summer 2018 it seems, with nothing really concrete to go by.

Nice! I was contemplating the same.. may have to drop by MB dealership this weekend.

I wonder how durable the car would be on track, at most I would do 2-3 events a year at this point in life.
It's a tough decision overall, I really am hooked on 911 and would like to step into a GT3. But I can enjoy other cars as well. Budget wouldn't allow to have a GT3 and GTR let alone my garage only has room for two and the C4S is staying. What we need is garage condos in the GTA like they have in the US. Wonder how that Alberta project is doing, think it was Calgary?

I strongly encourage all of you southern Ontario folk to go ahead and get your deposits back and use them for the Merc.
