GT3 in the wet (sad pics)

Could have been worse with Trofeo-R tires. Drove the Cup 2 in rain many times on road and track, and you have to be careful but the Trofeos are nearly impossible to drive on the highway (for me) faster than 45 mph as they constantly send "I'm flirting with hydroplaning" signals at that speed or higher. Regardless, sad to see this happen.

Semi slicks have plenty of grip in the rain if you drive smoothly. I have pretty much tried them all. Trofeo R maybe a tad trickier but keep it smooth and get them upto temp and it's ok....all can grip up enough to lift rears on the GT3 or my older cars on turn in - in the wet. It's amazing!
I used to skip the wet sessions on track, then progressively pushed myself to not, and whilst being careful in my 'ramp up' to going hard, realised it's a ton of fun and a great way to learn how to improve ones own driving skills....my 2c. Sample pic attached at around 200kmh into a long left handed. It's worth considering if you do want to improve your driving and think you can manage the risk.

Same experience in the wet with the Cup2s as previous posters. You can easily drive them on a wet track if you know what you are doing. Did a 200 mile highway trip on very worn fronts back from an autumn track day in torrential rain (in 4C/40F temps) without holding up any traffic.
Considering the amount of grip they provide in the dry, they handle wet conditions very well.
