Nope, people would probably take it off, b/c the "Not Cool Factor".

Complete red herring. BMW threw that crap excuse straight under the bus where it belonged.

i have no issues with people not wearing seat belts. Natural selection.

Just other day I saw a couple riding a motorcycle with no helmets (allowed in PA) with their dog sitting between the legs of the driver........& when they crash, they expect my team & i to work miracles in the OR.

Think of that in another way, do a few of those surgeries and it will pay for a new Porsche

As I recalled BMW shipped the cars with padding, some owners chose to discard them.

Seat belt usage rate in passenger cars in the US exceeds 90%, so that theory is nonsense. Check for a comparable Canadian stat and you will find the rate of usage isn't much higher at 95%.

Then write to your Congressman to get the DOT to change the testing rules.

We Canadians can't have Porsche cages because the US doesn't allow them.

Now that I think about it, I suspect that seat belt usage is significantly higher among those who go to the trouble to have roll cages. It is just bad policy.

You should sew them back together in the wrong order to teach them a lesson. A bit like The Fly.

Mission E update if anyone cares... http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/mo...range-variants

Some highlights

- Mission E is supposedly positioned under the Panamera
- Over-the-air updates could increase horsepower
- Level 4 autonomous driving
- 15 minute recharge time (311 mile electric range)
- On sale 2019

Ok, back to Gt3

So it's a Porsche Model S. Gotcha.

It's the recharge time that's their ace in the hole, but I expect Tesla will be in the ballpark in 2019 as well.

15 Minute charge time? That's game changing.
