2014 engine replacement cars impact resale value?

Hi,

Apologies in advance. I'm new here. While, I found PLENTY of threads about the engine recall GT3s (and read many of them top to bottom) and know 1 person personally who had it done, I am curious if an engine replacement GT3* required you to take a financial hit on the car's value. It seemed strange to bump old threads to ask this question.

I've spent hours comparing and contrasting 14 to later models that are up for sale. It seems the answer is no, or not much, but it's so hard to be sure.

I'm not sure what the future truthfully holds for the value's of either the E, F or G engine cars. Some feel the best bet is to try and get one that has just been recently changed out with all the new specs but that's still anyone's guess. I guess what I'm trying to say is I don't think anyone really knows. Good luck in your hunt.

If i decide to get back into another 991.1 GT3 I'd look for a 14 with the track warranty. I'd run as many events as possible and not worry about something being denied on a warranty claim. Relatively safe to say down the road the 14 will get a new set of heads at a minimum. This is one car I wouldn't buy with low mileage.
