Configurable GT3 RS available
Again, same contact has a configurable RS (Porsche dealer). It will be over MSRP, not sure how much. I can pass on info to anyone interested. Freeze date is in 4 days I believe with Aug or Sept delivery. You may PM me for details. I am getting no benefit from posting this.

I gotta ask.. Don't you guys hate having to pay over msrp? On principle alone I refuse ..
It seems as though, many of you here have a solid $ tree (mine hasn't fully matured yet, :P) So I find it shocking that paying over MSRP is readily accepted...
I have friends and family who have wealth, but they would never even entertain such an idea, so I guess I'm put-back, by the general acceptance on this forum....

Manufacturer SUGGESTED Retail Price...
Funny I never hear anyone complain when cars are sold at a discount from MSRP. But isn't that essentially the same thing... a price being adjusted for market conditions? I don't really care to sell something for less than what it's worth, why should a dealer?
FWIW, I think the prices have gone to the point of insanity... a level which I'm not willing to pay. But if others are willing to pay it, more power to them. I guess we'll see how smart they were in a couple years.

Thanks Jon. Clearly nowhere near sticker. I love the free market and believe in it but kinda sad. But..it is what it is and thanks for sharing.

A thing is worth what someone is willing to pay. At the moment there are people that think these cars are worth $250k!
I don't think it is. So I'm not buying. Simple.
Is a 996rs worth $300k? Is a 73rs worth a million. Not to me. But some think it is.
Do I think there will be better times to buy these cars? Yes!
Chrystal ball?????? Anyone have one that works?

Might be interesting to start a thread around new allocations (there are some trickling in) and whether they were MSRP or over. I'll bet a significant number are paying at least something over MSRP, but there will always be those that purchase enough with a particular dealership and have a strong enough relationship that they get MSRP most of the time. It's an interesting dynamic - market price actually discourages loyalty and promotes a competitive marketplace for pricing. I would think that will not be tolerated long term. Some will jump to other brands, and competition for business will drive prices down enough so that units can be sold - important for dealers to maintain sales to get future allocations. Some of the craziness now is likely the speculation over the timing of "the last N/A" offering. I'm thinking it will cool off and go back to normal when we get to the 992 gen. All conjecture on my part.

My dealership offered me $65K over MSRP last week and I declined. I am having too much fun with the car. What does it tell you if the dealers are paying over $65K over MSRP. Thats the going price. Since there will not be a GT3RS for next 2-3 years the price will keep climbing specially after all the existing cars are sold.
