Congrats mate - what a special place you have created. Having your own spot is soooooo important on so many levels.
Elegant and functional - You have given me an idea for my old TT exhaust for my own garage! I just wish there was an easy way to store spare wheels.....
Once again - excellent job!

We had to fire the first drywall crew this morning because the job was simply too big for them and they were whining like a bunch of little girls. Several of these new dudes are like 6'6" and could swat me into tomorrow with the flick of a wrist! This is the same crew that did my cottage and it proves that maintaining good relationships is imperative in small communities. They dropped what they were doing and were this far only three hours after being called to the job.
Going to be below ZERO tomorrow, so the second crew should be installing those elusive garage doors tomorrow while protected by plywood walls! Yeah!

This is such an epic thread, but it would be awesome to have a sticky, moderated by someone on RL, that contains just the best, most epic, eye candy garages from this thread in one place. 'Best of Rennlist Garages'

What I lack in beautiful content, I make up for with dogged persistence...
We are making progress and installed 8,000 sq ft of 5/8" sheetrock on the ceiling in 2 1/2 days!
Plus a couple of elusive garage doors partially installed.
For next weeks tricks: We have a gazillion sq ft of R44 insulation going into the 3 attic sections between the firewalls!
On Friday the "permanent" power connection will be made!
MOAR garage doors!
Klipshorn loudspeaker wall mounts will be built and installed.
Perhaps some siding.
Selection of flooring, granite, carpets and misc details... My wife says we should have "Guards RED" carpet upstairs to set things off.
Trying to get the concrete grinding, polishing & sealing scheduled for the middle to end of February...
Lift is here and to be installed March 1st.
Air compressor is ordered and arrives March 1st.
Wall art selections hitting the digital printers!
Has anyones head actually exploded while building a garage? ;-)

@928 GT R Amazing garage and am enjoying the updates. Don't leave us like Anonymous did hanging without final pics.
Question. In the one picture you have one garage door (on the left) taller than the others. I am wondering why? Obviously not a money thing so just curious why not the symmetry.

Actually, the big doors on both ends are because I want a car transporter to be able to drive in the front and out the back.
And, because there's this hulking piece of green obscurium occasionally offending exotic car owners sensibilities parked in here. It needs a special door on both ends of the building... Kind of a "Fat Chick" door on the back of the building so no one can see you actually let her in...
I'm not sure this will ever be "Finished". I suspect that this will be a moving gallery of evolving uses and automotive related artwork. It will not be a static display

Also need a door big enough to get the lawnmower or bug killers through...
