Plenty of other choices now. I used the Home Depot LED panels, 1' x 4' ones. Used 4 in my approx 20x20 garage with 10.5ft ceilings. I had these same panels in my prior 30x20 garage which was 13 ft high or so and worked well. Depending on your ceiling I would probably suggest maybe even 6 panels but 4 seems to work well.

What is the best tool chest brand? Any recommendations? I'm planning to buy this one for my garage: best tool chest. I want a tool chest with wheels (the bigger the better) because it will be easier to transport. Thanks.

Snap-On is the best. It is also priced accordingly.
Check out Obsessed Garage on YouTube and he will walk you though his garage set-up, as well as tools.

If you like everything pretty and money is no object go Sonic. I bought a box from Rockin Toolboxes. Mine was a discounted show demo. Another option would be to comb your local craigslist or facebook marketplace for a snap-on.

Did you get their tools with it to? The sets seem reasonably priced when compared to the top manufacturers.

No I didn't buy a Sonic. I have an Extreme 55x25 at work and a wall of New Age cabinets at home. I didn't know about Sonic at the time. When they have sales you can really get a deal.

I love my Sonic tools. I’m OCD about organization, so getting the foam tool trays was a big plus. They seem to be good quality tools as well.
The best tool chest IMO is Lista, but they are crazy expensive. The Sonic MSS+ are 98% what the Listas are for a lot less money, although still pricey.

Another vote for Sonic. I have a ton of their stuff. 3 total boxes and most every tool they sell. Their USA distribution is actually in my hometown and the owner is now a friend. He has a 991.2 GT3RS WP as well. Great quality tools and boxes and all the guys that work there are great as well. They periodically have some great sales. Sign up for their emails.

as far as boxes goes, have l literally every brand out there.
for bulk storage: stronghold
for storage with drawers: lista
for tool storage: snap on (Lista are not wide enough often times. if you have a 5' long tool, like giant torque wrench etc, won't fit. as how I know)
tools I prefer snap on but sonic is almost as good. there are some really $$$ German tools that are better than snap on but snap on is already insanely expensive. most ppl simply can't fathom how much a tool chest full of snap on cost. when I saw the quote, I needed to sit down quick.
btw, my ability to destroy stuff is beyond believe. some times I just have to stare at an item and it will melt. I kid you not. I like strong hold, snap on and Lista b/c I have not yet destroyed them. one set of lista is now 18 years old and I left them on the driveway rain or shine for 4 months. I was throwing them away but too heavy to carry to junk yard (don't ask) but after 4 months sitting outside, they had no issues. I thought damn... they are tanks. so I kept them.

Organized, functional, well decorated with memories, with tons of storage. Nice garage.
I hope to build a detached garage sometime in the next couple years. I need to figure out how to do it well on a budget. Prefab would be great, but I want a deck on top.

The only thing I don’t like about Lista is you literally have to order double of everything you want because half of it will get damaged in shipping, due to their poor packaging. But they have no problem refunding you. I guess they have the margins built in, lol.
