6-pt Belts for 991 GT3
I just ordered the Cantrell roll bar and sub-belt bars. Could someone please provide a link to the most appropriate 6-pt Schroth belts to use with this setup and the LWB seats? 2" wide at the top of the shoulder belts, for HANS compatibility, is preferable.

Attaching pic because the link takes you to a list of the harnesses. https://www.schrothracing.com/competition/profi/profi-II https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...38bb290d8c.jpg |
^ I saw those on their website, but given that we don't have the Cup Car seats and roll cage, wasn't sure if these would be the best choice?

Those are the ones you want. I had them in my Carrera S for use with LWB's and a Brey Kraus harness bar. The eyelets on the lap belts fit the mounting points on the seats (assuming the new LWB's are the same in that regard to the 997 style buckets) and the stock belts can be left in place if desired.
After having a Schroth set in red for several years I bought a set of the Schroth 6 point GT3 belts in black for my last season of autox with the Carrera. They've been used only 1/2 dozen times, were never stressed (autox, remember? ;)) and are like new, including the add-on Schroth shoulder pads. PM me if you're interested. |
^i installed my old .2 belts into my new gt3 with the Cantrell sub and roll cage, so they work just fine if any doubt.

Ok, just asking due to cutting out pieces for roll bar.

A great option is to get the gt3 schroth bells and purchase the sub belts from the hybrid version. They attach to the side belts via loops and eliminate that large t bar that you have to sit on when driving to church on Sunday. The hybrid sub belts lie flat without a lump.
Both versions the fitted benefit of the Hans and attachment of the gt3 belts and the comfort of the hybrid belt for about $60-70 more. |
Yes, be sure to get the 2" to 3" HANS specific. You don't want the 3", the shoulder straps are too wide to fit a HANS.

I've always used the 3" harnesses, more material to dissipate energy always seemed better to me. I have no problem using a HANS device with them.

Great idea to tuck the metal t back below the seat , I had trouble with that and it sitting flush. I have both sets of submount belts and if the loop option becomes a pain I will switch back, the one click with the metal t bar is a little quicker with your helmet on and on in a hot car. You still need a submount bar. The Cantrell version seems to be the best current option. |
