To put it in perspective with steel longevity, I replaced mine after 2 sets of pads (pagid rs29 used ~50%, and pfc11). Total km on track with them : ~5500km. They had some life remaining but since I was replacing front pads...

To those who may care: Here is an update on my PCCB measurements just completed

Additional 490 track miles: Total track miles: 2,840 miles, Total combined 21,533 miles

August 2016 ------------------------- Wear Limit
LFr 40.5/43.6/47.1 ------------------------- 38/39/43
RFr 49.5/52.4/50.6--------------------------44/44/44
LRr 54.7/52.7/53.8--------------------------44/42/44
RRr 52.1/57.7/54.1---------------------------47/48/46

These updated measurements are updates from March 2016. These measurements are after a 3 day event at COTA (hard on brakes) and 1 day at Auto Club Speedway for a total of 490 additional track miles. My left front rotor continues to be the closest to the wear limit, particularly the first measurement. That being said, the PCCBs continue to hang in there. I have done a total of 32 track days on these rotors. They appear to have a few more in them.

Good data -- you don't sound too disappointed in the PCCBs. I switched to steel rotors after 14,750 miles total including 2,086 track miles. The front PCCB rotors on my car measured 79 to 81% remaining life and the rear's measured 84 to 88% remaining. Quite a bit better that your experience.

But 80% of my track miles are at Lime Rock which is relatively easy on brakes -- at least at my times of 1:00 to 1:02 laps. The other 20% is at Sebring where my best laps times are 2:26 to 2:30. I am only two years into tracking my car, and minimizing lap times is not my primary objective -- good technique, smoothness, feeling the car and not pushing it to my personal limits are my objectives. I also change my brake pads at about 6-7 mm.

That said, I just bought a GT4 with PCCBs as I really like the feel of these brakes. And if I can get something approaching 8,000 tracks miles out of a set of rotors, I won't complain.

Thanks for sharing your data. I have just a few track days on my GT4 with PCCB, so this is good news for me.

Thanks for your numbers. Seems are getting pretty good life out of your Pccbs. What are your plans when you have to replace? Going irons, aftermarket, Refurbishing the pccb or a new Pccbs?
