Mud flaps DIY
Did a simple DIY after thinking more about paint protection on the rear and front fender. My .2 gt3 had full front and fender protection, but the front fender rear leading edge and the rear fender were totally chewed up after 15 k miles with the Xpel film struck through in multiple places, felt like sandpaper and generally looked poor up close.
So clearly something more robust is required, especially for the rocks trown up from the front tires. So after doing a deep search on line I came up empty, so I looked for something that I could trim or fit in the GT3 fender well and found this from Autozone, at $9.99 a pair:

Pretty subtle and really most people won't notice it. It will definitely protect the rear leading edge of the front fender, and we will see how it does for the rear fender, can't hurt!
TEHO, this is not for everyone, but gravel is always present to some degree on our NW roads and thus you are likely to get sand blasted as I saw with my .2 GT3. The flaps screw into the fender lining, And can be easily removed for track days if there is concern about extra drag.
Sorry for multiple posts, doing this in the garage from my iPad

And, by this you mean?..
Thanks! I guess it's just not cool to have mud flaps on your sports car, I wish I had a picture of the front fender rear leading edge from my .2, it was a testimony to why you might want them. Things are different here, most serious bikers have fenders for the rain and crap on the road, not cool, but very practical.

Please show a pic of the rear flap if you decide to do it. Mud flaps on a 911...would not have thought about it. Makes some real sense to me and not too obtrusive.

Definitely will post when I try it if successful.

It'd be cool if something like this could just pop on or off quickly for track days or long journeys.

They do come right off with three screws each, would not use on the track.
