help changing dealer destination?

Can someone point me to the info on how to change the dealer destination of an ordered Pcar? I would like to change a delivery from the order dealer to my local dealer.
TIA

Talk to your local dealer. For them to get it for you, they would have to exchange an allocation. If both dealerships agree (depending on how much financial sense it makes to both of them), should be doable. Now, if selling a GT3 means a lot to a dealer (for whatever reason, e.g. future allocations, etc), they may not agree. Never hurts to ask.

Edit: the car may still have to go to the order dealer first, not sure.

If you mean having the selling dealer provide a courtesy delivery, I am having that done. Car is ordered at one dealer, said dealer provides courtesy delivery to another. Car is re-directed there by Porsche. Car arrives at a dealer near me as if I bought it there. Same cash out lay for me. Glad to offer more info if this is the case.

Sam,
I thought I read an earlier post that detailed a PCNA program that diverts the ordered car to any dealer you specify.
You still pay the original dealer, but the car bypasses them to your dealer of choice...I believe the shipping expense is ~$1k?

PM me if you like.

Basically you pay the originating dealer for your car when it arrives at the alternate pre-selected dealer of choice. The originating dealer pays the receiving dealer for the 2-4 hour initial service; whatever is Porsche SOP. The receiving dealer receives the car as if you ordered it there to begin with. It is re-directed to a different port ~if needed~ and shipped by Porsche to your receiving dealer. I am doing exactly that. End of the transaction, I am paying the same I would if I took delivery at the initial dealer. Car arrives the same other than possibly the Maroni sticker having the originating dealer's name on it. All good.

My dealer set this up without any fuss. Both dealers were on board with it.

Will this work if the car is already at a different port? I bought a GT3 out of NY. The car is currently at the port in Rhode Island waiting for its new heart. I was going to have it shipped to Atlanta once it arrives at the dealer, but if there is an opportunity to have it delivered by Porsche that would be great, even if I have to pay for it.
