This engine revs like a maniac!

Sorry 911SLOW, did not mean to discount your contributions. Everything's very much appreciated

Anything is definitely better than nothing at this point.

Exactly. He lied.

I had more problems with 5 lug then CL.. Never had an iddue, you you have to buy the big ass tool, but it works and you dont have to charge it like a gun. I know I am the only one who does not mind CL. Not much advantage and extra cost, but been trouble free for 30K miles on 3 RS's.

I like how Porsche just made the 991 Carrera-S w/ a manual tranny, instead of the GT3, the "enthusiasts" choice.

I'm still thinking the same. Exact engine specs and track proven durability will tell me more.

Nothing for sure until seeing a caliper print, but I would be surprised if we couldn't clear them with an 18, with room to spare. On the computers, usually as long as the ratio, front to rear remains the same, you're ok (who knows with this one though).

No way 18" will fit..

Geez, I though we were all about choices. ;) Some people prefer using the stick. Anyway, it would require more than having one button on the console for reverse as you would have to re-engineer the function to select automatic mode as well. People are complaining that this car is becoming too Fiat-like and others that it's not Fiat-like enough. Make up your minds!

Right. Choices. For $150K+, I would like to choose a manual transmission and 5 lug wheels with smaller diameter.

Dude, my Cayman sounds much better, for real (all thanks to Capristo headers, sport cats, and twin mufflers).

GT3 sound check: FAIL

Best sound on a GT3: 996 GT3.

Rad, what's the time there mate?
Don't you have to go feed your cavallino with some fire-resistant hay? : )

It is nice that they have a redundant shifter on the center console in addition to the paddles.

My Cayenne can be shifted on the steering wheel or the center console and it is convenient.

The Fiat is a PITA. When I drive to the Cars and Coffee, I typically stop by Starbucks to grab the coffee, so I bring the car and the coffee to the static race. Problem is that Fiat did not add cup holders to save weight so I have to hold Hot Coffee with the right hand, and drive one-handed GT3DE style with the left, so I can only downshift, and I cannot upshift unless I switch hands on the Coffee, it takes a lot of time.

A center console shifting lever allows me to shift gears up and down with coffee on hand.

The American market needs flappy paddles, a center console redundant shifter, at least two cup holders, an iphone holder (my Fiat iphone interface doesn't work with my iPhone5 anymore), sunroof, cushy seats with memory, bluetooth, navigation, front and rear axle lift, exhaust with loud mode and quiet mode, 30 mpg on the highway (thanks VW for the 918 Spyder), all these features should be standard in a $160k car that looks identical to the $80,000 entry level model.

By the way, at $160k, the standard GT3 is getting awfully close to MP4-12C used prices.

We just cleared a set of Alcons running a 400mm rotor with an 18, with room to spare - so anything 400mm or under is possible.

Pleas tell me!!!! I have been trying to clear a set of custom made CCW 18" on 398mm rotors. Any modifications to the caliper?

Exactly! And he was inaccurate on weight savings! They save you about 50lbs when you lose the wheel! :grr:

Come on Rad- you know as well as anyone that you can run the Fiat in full auto mode so you can sip the mocha without using the paddles. The center lever is stupid.

We didn't touch the caliper, we machined the wheel to fit it and still have easy mounting for heavy track tire beads (Michelin slicks) to slide over the barrel. Send me your caliper info and I will see if we can cut something that will work.
