Shenitas, I can't see the photos you posted. But the center locks on the 991 gt3 Cup car at Geneva in Macca's photo do NOT look unfinished to me! They look like the Carrera GT center locks which were better engineered than the ones offered on the .2 gt3's. If so, a real improvement. So far we don't think they will be offered on the standard 991 gt3, sadly.

Saludos,
Eduardo

I think Z356 is correct. These will not be offered on the street GT3....

While we are waiting breathlessly for Porsche to set the prices on their new GT models, it might be instructive for them to compare the performance available to us all from the GT-R at the present price of a very basic Carrera - and ponder at what price point alternatives to our favorite car are considered.

Best,

Yes, be careful clicking those broken images - the reason they are broken is cause they are not really images but probably links to malware/CSRF attacks.

Of course the Cup car center locks are more robust. It would be bad publicity to have a wheel fall off during a race. Apparently on a 'street' car, it's not that big a deal. At least not to Porsche. . .

What is CET? Is that local Geneva time? If so, that would be late tonight in the States (4:45AM Eastern. 1:45AM Pacific)

Bill_C4S 03-04-2013 01:21 PM

Further on the Porsche stand at geneva.
