Default 991r Shift ****

Have my touring in for 20k mile service. While it was in there, I pinged my service advisor to see how much it would cost to put in a 911r shifter. Came back with a quote for $2,800 after tax.....

Told him I would just get from Suncoast at that price. But honestly, even Suncoast price seems steep. Is anyone interested in selling theirs? Bonus points for red stitching haha.

That might be the dumbest way to spend $2800 i've heard. You can have pretty much any **** you want made for 1/4 of that price. Are you sure no one sells a carbon shifter aftermarket?

Yikes! I bought mine from suncoast. Yes, it was expensive and I'm sure there are similar options for less, but the **** took a whole 15 seconds to install. Highly recommend esp. if you have CF trim.

Yes - I have CF trim but guards red stitching. Suncoast only has carmine red stitching as an option. Not sure how close of a match it is.

I keep wavering back and forth for how much I actually care to spend two thousand dollars on an appearance part.

The stitching color is 99.999% the same. I also have GR stitching and ordered the red stitching color on the R ****. You cannot tell the diff between the two.

It's also possible to separate the **** from the shift boot to use your original guards red shift boot. That's what I did. It's a slightly tricky 4 prong setup under there, but once you figure out how it works you can separate them without damaging anything.

I did the same. Used the **** with the boot that came on the car (red stitching).

100%! If you have CF trim, you're doing yourself a dis-service by not getting a CF ****. It looks so much better than the stock ****.

I don't remember what I paid for it but it was totally worth it imo. The stock silver **** just looks totally out of place imo.

I spent $989 and put it on myself... Now they are $1,795 from the same dealer (sun coast)
