Default When stock GT3RS downforce isn't enough.... ;)

Recently added the Dundon Ventus Verus 3 Aero Pkg to the car and oh man the difference it makes...

Have done 3 days with them paired with a new set of Nankang AR-1's, uphill esses (T2 T3) at WGI have never been so effortless... the car is able to run up the hill from coming out of T1 all the way till the bus stop with the pedal to the metal. The car is so fast in high-speed corners now it feels more like a momentum car. The fastest time of the day was a low 2:02 with a heck ton of traffic. Towards the end of the second day at WGI, the AR-1's wasn't gripping as well but the rear downforce still managed to push down on the car forcing the tires to grip. Stock GT3RS is able to run 2:02 easily, but this added aero allows the GT3RS to be so effortless achieving faster times.

What pressures where you running in the AR-1s? I just put a set on my 3RS. Only 2 sessions so far and not any faster than cup 2s. Could have been temps or something else though.

Haha, it's a wrap from Inozetek called Maritime Blue, I use it as extra protection over the PPF

I start off the day with 25psi squared and keep them around 33 hot, they have been faster than Cup2 in my usage

I think you def have more time in that car & setup.

Separately speaking, do you have any scraping/bottoming out issues in the front, esp under heavy braking?

Nice! assuming you still have factory springs, do you get sense the stock spring rate can handle some of the higher speed turns (ie doesn't get understeery, etc)?

Still running 100% stock suspension setups, I set the rear wing at 9 degrees (Max at 14) to balance out front and rear downforce. When the wing was at 14, the car tends to understeer quite a bit and the loss of speed on the straights wasn't worth it, but at 9 degrees, I find it to be the best medium of traction and drag. So, no, suspension upgrades aren't needed for running this Ventus 3 Pkg.

I absolutely do! It's time to work on my own skills

Under heavy braking on the straights, I do bottom out in the front, the two titanium scrap guards that come with the splitter would rub against the ground and creates sparks, but I don't think it's an issue. The splitter itself wouldn't touch the ground at all.

I do have a DSC Controller laying around but it's not installed in the car, I wonder if it could be programmed to strengthen the front shock under braking to "hold" the front from diving too much, but I doubt the OEM shock hardware is strong enough to hold it up

Awesome post! I am looking into the dundon package myself..

I need more aero and a better overall package until the new DE toy arrives at the end of the year!

very sweet package. that front splitter looks like an awesome design and integrates with the stock car very nicely.

Definitely worth it! I was doubting its functionality on slower corners/smaller tracks but seems like it improves the grip of the car at speed as slow as 60mph!
