FS: GT3/GT3RS Alcantara Sun Visors

I'd like to get some without the airbag warning sticker. Figured someone might want the OEM ones if they didn't spec them in their car. Anybody interested?

They're $1,295 from Porsche. How about $1,000 for the pair. Shipped within the USA.

Fyi it is pretty easy to remove the yellow warning stickers with some IPA.

I prefer a good lager.

Yeah I looked into it. I don't want to risk damaging the alcantara. I could try it and if I mess up, just buy new ones without the sticker. But then I'm out the difference. I figured it's easier to just sell the stock ones.

Just to be clear, alcantara sun visors are $1,250 from Porsche. Yes, it's cheaper if you spec your car with them to begin with. I'm not parting my car out, I'm just replacing them with ones sans sticker. So it's not like I'm trying to profit or something. PCCBs are like $9K if you spec your car with them. But $20,000 if you want them after the fact. And it's a sun visor, they don't exactly depreciate every time you check yourself out in the mirror... I'm not THAT ugly lol.

Either way, has anybody had good luck removing the stickers themselves? I guess the procedure is some rubbing alcohol and a plastic bag wrapped around the visor for a while? Any damage to the alcantara? Does it leave the outline of the sticker behind?

My detailer advised against it, but I'm still on the fence about whether a ghost ring is really as bad as that yellow NHTSA nanny note.

Tagged for relevance.

Yeah, I've read all those posts/threads. I'm still on the fence. I asked my detailer to do it and he said no lol.

Simple to remove. Use a sponge/small dish and Rubbing alcohol. Takes about 20 min each Visor

Soak the sponge and rub it for some time over the sticker and will start to break it down. Then start peeling away. Just be patient

I don't think I'm as anally retentive as a concours level detailer so I'm really leaning towards the IPA and plastic bag method. Being in Cali, it may be harder to find the plastic bag than 100% IPA :D

Does the sticker peel away or does it break down and you rub the small broken pieces away? I've seen both...

I removed them on .1RS, you could (hardly) see the outline still.
Ordered .2RS with plastic to replace with Euro ones without the idiot stickers.

I think I actually have some 99% IPA I use for cleaning electronic components (I build guitar amps).

To be honest I've never understood the big deal about the stickers....mine are still there and always will be.....GLWS though
