It is only worth it if you think it is- your money not mine

Last time I had a chance to buy 1 it was a Black 89 new at Hendrick Porsche in CLT.
Seems Mr TopGun walked in and bought it off the floor when making days of thunder.
It certainly seems to be a good investment.

There are 43 2019 Speedsters on www.cars.com, which suggests these will become available for MSRP, or less. I’m patient.

I guess you know that some of those 43 cars were never for sale. There are new cars that have actually been ordered by clients that are automatically (not by the dealer) listed on CARS.COM. I was told by the dealer that several of their GT cars had been listed on the cars.com website even though the cars were client ordered cars and essentially sold. Dealership would routinely get calls from around the country inquiring on the availability of those vehicles. They are not sure how those cars get listed to CARS.COM.

They list cars, such as this example, assuming people will call and inquire. Even when it is not available it creates a marketing opportunity to get information and attempt to sell a car.

Regarding ADM and the general pricing on this vehicle...what I heard was their marketing group got together and put several post it notes on a wall. Eventually, they came to a conclusion that buyers would pay X MSRP and they were right.

I bet all the cars would have sold even if they bumped the MSRP to $350k+ just because the car is numbered.

Martin this car is not worth a $309k MSRP imagine $350k! I love the idea of driving a GT3 without the roof for the engine sound alone but not at that price...

A friend just told me a local dealer just sold one for $150k over. Not sure if accurate.

You can buy one of these mint with a “hump back” in mint condition for about $240k less than Speedster msrp. Only about 1000 imported to NA, considered one of the best handling and fun cars Porsche has made, holds value amazing and great fun. Not many on market at any given time either.

I'm aware that some Dealers are using Speedsters as a marketing opportunity. How many are truly available? I don't know and I'm not inclined to find out given the spam email that ensues when sending a request to a Dealer.

If sold Speedsters are automatically uploaded to cars.com, they should be taken down if they care about their reputation. It's not generating any goodwill w/the Dealer for me to learn by reply email the car is sold but "let me bait-and-switch you."
