Ferrari at capital markets day yesterday announced several new changes, one of which was a significant increase in pricing and a move more upmarket. I would expect Porsche to start to do the same, and capture both the ADM premium as well as reduce the list size for these cars.

Ferrari price points are already substantially greater than most Porsche models so not sure if this is apples to apples. I suspect many Porsche clientele (Macans/Cayennes,boxsters) cannot absorb huge price increases into the true super car levels.

Agreed, for the most part. But its clear the GT marque is too cheap.

doesn't franchise law (or some law) prohibit pcna from dictating the price a dealer can sell a car at?

man, you really turned sour on GT's after swapping for a TTS. Never noticed your posts until about a week ago, but I think I've read comments along these lines at least 15 times in a week. Maybe give the GT section of the forum a break while you get past this? haha
I am doing absolutely great, thanks for checking) You should see my posts in other RL sections and on the MBoard and AMG Private)

We get it, the GT3 is not for everyone, lol.
Absolutely right, glad I did not procrastinate.......The GT3 is awesome for what it is. No performance complaints, just wasn't using it enough, since I already had another weekend car. It didn't take long to figure it out for my driving needs. My intention was to keep it, but this non-flipper was ahead 20K after the decision, so I am better off in that respect and utility of my Porsches.....)

ADMs are actually a result of Porsche and PCNA UNDER-pricing their vehicles. If Porsche put an MSRP of $500k on a GT2RS, do you think there would be ADMs? What about a GT3RS at $400k?? Or a GT3 at $250k. They mis-priced their cars at the outset which makes room for scalpers, unscrupulous dealers, and the like.

Pretty good point on the 911 GTs, TT/TTS and other high end offerings

I agree with that for the most part but I also think it's partially do to the appearance of limited capacity by dealers/brokers as well as the VIP program. I think Porsche will continue raising GT prices by less than 10% every version.

Correction: UNDER-PRODUCING

Dealers margin is over $18K on an average GT3 build (before sales guy commission). How much more margin do you wanna give them?? Plus PAG is making a healthy profit too. They're not over priced. The economy is over inflated.

ADM hype nets sales guys a bonus 20% of that too. Throw a broker in there, a $5K bone as well. Like a damn Amway gig.

GT cars have the lowest profit margins for Porsche.

I'd say at over $18K on an average GT3, they're right in there with overall average.

The low GT margin is a myth, unless you think $18K is low margin?

Get the middlemen out. I know the dealer network is strong and Porsche lost the fight at some point in the past. I’m a little ignorant, but how can Tesla pull it off, selling directly to consumers?

PS: did all of you watch enthusiasts notice? JLC started selling watches directly from their website. I loved JLC, now I love them more.

That number is not accurate. It's not even in the Bloomberg article.

I'm quoting the Bloomberg article as an overall average.

The GT3 margin I quoted is accurate.
