GT car scams

Setting up shell companies to charge over and fly under the radar doesn't qualify as free market. Controlling the market and lying on product availability is not free market. Do you know the story about Ferrari their limited and numbered cars?
Dealers can ask whatever they want (where applicable by law, which is in place to protect consumers, and yes you need to protect consumers) and discount as much as they want as long as it's transparent, or they're shady deals.

When there is money is to be made not just on the actual car, but in the ‘black market’ of build allocations (I.e. forcing customers to pay for the right to specify a particular configuration) and that secondary market in build slots is being manipulated ‘off the books’ it borders on or can cross the line to unethical activity. A free market in allocations would not have ‘secret’ waiting lists...

How the hell does someone buy a GT car and NOT have to put a deposit down? What, you call up your dealer and say I want a new GT3RS allocation, here's my Porsche build code and they go, "Sure thing, you got it!" I call BS on that. They're gonna order you a car to your specs without a deposit? At MSRP? Right. Even with an ADM, I doubt the people who say they NEVER have put a deposit down on ANY car.

If you have a relationship with your dealer then no deposit is no problem. i configured a car to my exact specs and picked it up in europe. I showed up three days prior to leaving for europe and then we did the paperwork. No deposit (not commenting on ADM, as that is a function of local market). Rusnak Westlake Porsche are good guys to deal with.

Deposits aren’t necessary when your dealer knows you will not flake on your build. I’ve taken every car I have built M cars to GT cars, and NEVER a deposit. Also helps that I send them business which builds a buyer network for all car lines.

Well I'm looking for a GT3RS allocation at MSRP lol. I'm fine with a deposit, it's the ADM I'm more concerned about. My GT3 dealer doesn't have any allocations. I think a $5K, maybe even 10K deposit is fine if a dealer doesn't know you from Adam. But wanting a $50K ADM is ridiculous. Lowest I've found so far is $25K on the RS. I'm fine keeping my GT3 but if I find an RS allocation at MSRP I'd grab it.
