Went to the 70th anna celebration
Attended the Porsche 70th anniversary at PECLA this am.
Great turnout but I thought that they would have a GT3RS.
Sadly they did not, I really wanted to see "Lizard Green" in the flesh.
Oh well....

Just finished one put on by Porsche of San Diego. Great turnout. Had over 70 Porsche's in a two hour drive around starting at the Del Coronado, through downtown San Diego, Point Loma, La Jolla, Del Mar and Ranch Santa Fe. People on the street we stopping and taking pictures of the caravan and waiving. When we arrived at the dealership, we had a German theme lunch and beer. A terrific event.
Headed out for a our drive. The Del Coronado hotel in the background./ We had so many cars the Coronado police held up traffic both ways to allow all the Porsche's to exit.
A 1955 Speedster. It got a lot of attraction especially since the new Speedster was announced
Picture of my .2GT3 parked
Same Speedster
Porsche's parked at the Del.

Porsche Plano organized a fun drive to celebrate the 70th. A nice 84 mile stretching of the legs, then feed us lunch. Dessert was a 911 shaped cake!

Nice event at PEC Atlanta. Between the tire squeal and planes overhead, I think I lost about 10% more hearing this weekend.
One thing I noted was when they did the noontime GT2RS launch event/car show on the track, they ran GT3s as the support team- and it sounded incredible. If anyone was on the fence about which car to select (Carrera, Turbo S, Cayman, GT3, etc) after hearing them all run demo laps this weekend, the GT3 would win hands-down.

The NYC event at MetLife Stadium was pretty amazing with a huge turnout and a ton of GT cars.

Porsche of Colorado Springs put on a great event yesterday. There were easily 70+ Porsches.
We drove from Colorado Springs to the Royal Gorge and they arranged permission for the group to drive across the bridge. Normally it's a pedestrian bridge only. The entire floor of the bridge is made of wooden beams and you could feel it move quite a bit. It didn't help my fear of heights.
I didn't get many pictures, so hopefully they post some more photo/videos (they hired a drone company to film as well) later.
