GT3 Insurance Question
My car is a few months out still, but I've been doing some preliminary insurance shopping.
With the GT3, do most people just go with a regular Actual Cash Value policy in the event of a total loss?
Should I be looking for an Agreed Value policy through a specialty insurance company, or is a regular actual cash value policy fine for these cars? I doubt the GT3 will be like the 911R or something like that where it'll appreciate.

Not to steal OP's thread but also in the same boat of looking for incoming .2 GT3. Does low yearly mileage make the premium much cheaper? Unfortunately, I might have to travel to Asia for few months next year and may not be able to drive the car often.
And I probably shouldn't use Geico right?

I don't know about Geico. Just make sure the company is able and willing to insure a car worth more than $150-200K... You must ask. One company was all ready to sell me a policy and then I said, "You guys fully cover the cost of the car, right? It's over $200K." And then they said no, we only cover up to $150,000.

Just got a good quote from Amica. Any experience?
If total loss within first year, they cover full replacement of car, regardless of price. I said well what if you can't get this car since it's only made in 2018 and not like they're building more of them. They said well then we'd have to look at what other cars are available.
I asked ok then what if car gets totaled after the first year? They said then it's actual cash value. I asked who determines what the cash value is? They said KBB. I asked ok well what if KBB says cash value is $150K but used ones are selling for $185K? She said well then we'd have to have a conversation about what the agreed value is at that time... Not really an answer I guess.
But, all the other coverage is good. Free glass, actual Porsche parts, roadside assistance and towing with a flatbed, etc.
Best premium I've been quoted so far.

No clue what happens if total the car after year 1. I asked. They said actual cash value as determined by market price. How they determine market price is beyond me. They avoided answering that question.

I'll definitely call 'em. But hard to compare prices since it depends on your state and age and all that other stuff, not really 100% the car. $290 is the cheapest I've found so far. Most of the big name companies (State Farm, Progressive, All State, etc.) are $400+/month

Comparing quotes between people is a fools errand. Age of driver, zip code, other vehicles/policies with the company, accidents/tickets, these all make a huge different. Same driver/vehicle could pay X in Omaha and X times 2 in San Francisco for example.
