I would spend GT3 money on this:

It is about as close to automotive perfection as I can find. Forget the 3-11. I want a windscreen and a roof.

how about a 993 c2s with a bunch of upgrades including the Singer/Williams 4.0 engine...

Well, since I am in production on the flat six air cooled 3.6 case, it would be elementary to change the model such that we could add an extra cylinder or two in the middle of the case and make a flat 8 or a flat 12. Someone would need to make cranks and cams, but there's your engine.

Remember, I am already tooled up for the flat 6 and have made castings already, so a flat 8 or 12 isn't as far out as you think.....

That would be my contribution to this build.

well.. someone beat us to it...

amazing.. in the past two days, TWO cars with exactly the idea we had in mind, came out. what I had described as "2 seater BACMono".. in different interpretations> Lightweight, attractive.. usable for road but probably awesome on track, manual transmission, remove the creature comforts to keep it light.. the Dallara car at 170k and change, and the Glickenhaus car at $400k starting. I think THIS is the new niche...

Will the Dallara be sold in the US?

Where do I sign up?

The Dallara...

None. No car is worth $200k+ to me. What I want in a car -- lightness, suspension, and rawness/feel -- costs much less than that.

I'd take a Cayman size and weight car with the V8 from the 918 Spyder. No stupid electric motor tricks, no rear-wheel-steering, no center lock wheels or other un-needed crap.

Agree that SCG 004 and Dallara are on right direction. Race it to establish credibility.
