** OFFICIAL ** 911 GT3 with Touring Package announced.

+1 - very rare to see a case on a change in design not creating new problems. Sure they fixed some problems with the new engine, but what new ones will show up over time? Really untested at this point.
Proof is in the pudding when we get some real data.

Definitely a weird look without the rear wing. Also, I think that the rear grille, even though it comes from the 911R, does look a bit weird. Prefer the normal one that is found on the regular GT3.

What made the R an R is simply its exclusivity, not the fact that it's manual 4.0, sporty car "unbelieveable car".
This package being readily available to order defies the purpose that made the R exclusive. I think this is why Porsche decided to make it a package rather than a different model. Yes some people will opt to add this package to their build sheets, but I doubt it would surpass the order numbers for the "regular GT3".
Make this exclusive, and people will love it.. Greedy much?

I am as confused as anybody else here. Something is amiss. From what we know the vast majority of allocations have been given out for this car. Everybody who received one committed to their allocation.... with a wing. Now this??? But no news on additional allocations. To me, this option is only for the flipper or the guy who is buying his car only thinking about the next owner (re-sale). Is it safe to say that LESS than 991 GT3 Touring cars will be built??? I THINK SO! That make a GT3T more rare than an R!! I thought about this option for about 3 seconds "this is going to be a rare GT3, maybe I should get it"... but wait, then it is not the car I fall asleep thinking about every night. I am buying this car for ME, not the next guy. I am going to keep mine with the Wing.
Additionally, those who already have allocations entered into the allocation agreement knowing they are receiving a GT3 with wing. From what my SA has noted, only those with later allocations (December onwards) can change their configurations so this will make the Touring Pkg a rare choice.

Porsche is smarter than the so called secondary market. They're in business of making money for themselves and not for the Amway crowd.
If anyone is going to profit off Porsche, it's Porsche.

What's that prove? There are 5-8 (maybe 10 if you include ROW) R's publicly listed for sale of the 991 made. That's not completely insane.I think there are 4 GT3 RS 4.0 997s ish as well and 3-4 GT2 RS 997s. Porsche got pissed with the VIP flippers using their status purely for financial gain and not driving them at all first, not that their cars were worth more than when they came out. These touring GT3s will be on the secondary market in 10 seconds at a 50k over msrp, without question.

I'm still confused as to why people would want this package for a GT3. I get it that people don't like the wing look, I get it that people want 4 seeats. But then it wouldn't be a GT3., and it still wouldn't be an R. Good luck trying to sell this in the secondary market for profit. This may simply be a trap for the flippers, one's that have pissed off Porsche. If you don't like the wing and want 4 seats, why not the Turbo? It would end up at the same price point without it pretending to be anything else other than a Porsche Turbo

Yawn. Don't care for the 911R with the half-gen bastard engine either. At least this .2 TP has a proper motorsport heart.
Now if Porsche offered the wingless GT3 version in the true Turbo widebody, now we're talking.
Else, give me the .2 GT3 all day.

Nice!! Kudos to Porsche for addressing a gap in their line-up (a car with true race car characteristics without the race car wing!). This thing is going to surprise & sneak up on a lot of people at their local HPDE track day...LOL
