personally I would delete the painted air vent slats etc in favor of the interior paint pkg that takes the ext color onto the interior trim...

either spec is awesome though... not sure the light design pkg is a must have.

Heard - yeah the light design I didn't know if that was a thing needed or not...

I was digging the blacked out dash look so i went that way.

It looks like when i do the painted air vents, it puts the deviated stitch trim around the vents, which i like more than the silver or aluminum (again, makes it blacked out dash)

I had read that wings could be deleted and such, I guess thats not a thing...

J. Ho,

I think the belt outlets in alcantara are cool so I would consider those and I would skip the crest on the center cubby as it does not add much and may clash especially with sofas where the headrest detail says GT3 and not a crest like the LWBs.

I think if you ask nicely, you can get the painted slats in a deviated color (I know you can with the surrounds) and I would ask them to be painted black on the silver build (I like the silver one better) The vents in leather is better to my eye (leather surround and slats), but that does not seem to be available on a GT3 at least through the configurator.

Make sure your dealer puts in notes for each of the options so you get the deviated stitching you want on them.

Good call; I'll delete the center crest and add the alacantra belt outlets. I have the slats painted silver same as car, so I'm not sure what you are saying there?

Also between the red car and silver, your vote is silver?

Larry cable - what are your thoughts about the interior package painted in guards red? People seem to say its too much?

Vote silver.

What I am saying is you could say "give me painted slats, but paint them black not silver" which I think would look nice and I think Porsche lets you do. :-)

Your dealer should be able to select any exterior paint color for the vent slats in the internal system builder when they select that option. It isn't even a cxx option.

They should just let you do stitched vent surrounds and keep the regular plastic slats. No need for shiny black paint...

They should offer them in leather on the GT3 like other models (surrounds and slats).

Here's my build. I doubt I'll track the car. I have no commute. I may be a wee bit overboard with options, but what the hell! Right now I have a commission # with November build. NO definite PTS allocation as I enthusiastically noted in my signature.

After speaking with the P.USA guy who handles PTS it'll more likely be a January build. I was told that PTS will open up right after the European "holiday" ends which runs the entire month of August so I'll know early September if I got it or not. I asked him if there's a way to "improve my odds" of getting PTS. His response was "buy a 918".

CXX will include
ALL leather interior with dev. stitching possibly more than one color leather and/or stitching - no Alcantara
Exterior mirrors painted gloss black top and bottom; no CF
Porsche side stripe decals
Pepita cushions
Standard silver wheels, but with the same red striping as black (not sure if I want this).
Buckets with GT3 logo embroidered into the headrests and removal of seat stripes

Build (note; build includes pre CXX options and no PTS)
Guards Red
Leather/Alcantara® Interior Package in Black with Red Stitching
"PORSCHE" Logo and Model Designation Painted
LED Headlights in Black incl. Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS)
Headlight Cleaning System Covers in Deviated Exterior Color
Door Handles in High Gloss Black
SportDesign Exterior Mirrors (Lower Trim) Painted in High Gloss Black
SportDesign Exterior Mirrors (Upper Trim) in Carbon Fiber
Fuel Cap with Aluminum Look Finish
GT Sport Manual Transmission
Front Axle Lift System
Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB)
Sport Chrono Package
Extended Range Fuel Tank, 23.7 gal
20" 911 GT3 Wheels
Wheels Painted in Satin Black with Outer Lip in Guards Red
Auto-Dimming Mirrors with Integrated Rain Sensor
Light Design Package
Steering Wheel with Top Center Marking in Red
Full Bucket Seats
Smoking Package
Fire Extinguisher
Climate Control Panel Painted Black
Air Vents Painted Black
Vehicle Key Painted and Key Pouch in Leather
Instrument Dials in Guards Red
Sport Chrono Clock Dial in Guards Red
Seat Belts in Guards Red
Dashboard Trim Package in Leather
Steering Column Casing in Leather
Leather Interior Stitching in Red
Sun Visors in Alcantara
Door Trim Package in Alcantara®/Leather
Storage Compartment Lid in Alcantara® with 'PORSCHE' Logo Porsche
Belt Outlet Trim in Alcantara®
Door-Sill Guards in Carbon Fiber, Illuminated
Personalized Carbon Fiber Floor Mats with Leather Edging
Brushed Aluminum Interior Package in Anthracite i.c.w. Leather Interior
BOSE® Surround Sound System

I think that'll do it for now.

So the dealer is able to plug in more options than we can on the online builder?

That would be OK too.

That would be tasty.

Is there any way to loose the aluminum in these circled areas? I can live with the shifter but would love to black out or carbon fiber the door bits...

Ive heard back that they won't do the shifter. I tried to get in carbon to go with interior trim, but declined.
Im not sure if there is an aftermarket option or way in which to purchase a 911R shifter . (anyone ? )

MaCarbon can do those bits aftermarket. They do great work, did the inserts on my GT wheel.

I don't like the look of painted vent slats, too busy. Select painted vents and then select Black, should look great and 'blacked-out'.
