2015 GT3 values....

If you're talking about a new/super low mileage RS, I think you're starting in a pretty fair range. $20k over for an RS is not over market and $6k under for a '15 GT3 seems like a very fair offer based on what's out there sitting unsold. I don't think you'd get any better if you sold it yourself right now.

I had a friend bid for me at manheim last week for a white rs with sofa's and a $210k msrp with under 100 miles, It ended up selling for $222k(if I remember correctly, not more than $224K)
I think even 10k behind msrp for your gt3 would be fair, lots of used gt3's out there...

Why not wait for a 991.2 GT3? Can't see the logic of paying over sticker for a used car with a suspect engine with basically the same performance as a brand new GT3 that would cost tens of thousands less. I'd still wait a few months just to make sure Porsche got the engine right this time. My buddy was lucky to get his RS allocation brand new at MSRP from a smaller dealership he never used before. I went with him to pick it up, and it threw a CEL at mile 80 on the way back. Had to limp home the rest of the 200 miles. Glad I got to try those LWBs; no way I'd get them myself (no tracking here). They're strictly track seats. Good luck.

....and elp_jc....is their a guarantee of a 991.2 RS?.....even if their was I have no history with Porsche except for my '15 GT3.....I would then wait a long time to get a used one at likely over MSRP, even more so than now.....I learned a long time ago if you wait for the next best thing you'll wait forever....

If I was you I would sell the gt3 now and enjoy the ferrari for the rest of the year.
Then pick up an RS during the slow times in winter. You would loose on sales tax.
There are a lot of RS sitting. Time is on your side

Getting a .1 RS is pointless at this time. Unless well below MSRP. The .2 Gt3 is already better in every way. If you must have the RS badge then the .2 RS should be launched by Frankfurt which will be the best gt3 ever. Till the next one.

Lots of people in this thread telling others how to think instead of trying to answer the question. He wants a .1 RS, the potential .2 RS or .2 GT3 is irrelevant.
If you want it, I say do it now. Even if the RS values fall this winter, how far do you think they will fall? Say you sell the GT3 and wait for winter, maybe you save 5-10% on the RS purchase(big maybe)? Half of that is eaten up in the trade in tax deduction that you lost, so really we're probably talking about a few thousand dollars for a maybe. And missing the rest of the summer driving the car that you want.

My read. .1RS prices are as low as they are going to get right now.
GT2RS prices and ADMs will result in an increase in GT3RS prices. When the new .2GT3RS comes out and ADM frenzy begins again ($100K over) the .1GT3RS prices will increase again another 10%. .
All boats rise with the tide.

I think that you are at a good starting point, some negotiation and I think you will have a very good deal
for this time, what will happen in the future no one knows
but to my thinking the .1 gt3 and .1 gt3rs prices have a linear correlation as far as price is concerned. So, in 6 month, the RS might be lower, but his trade in will be less, so the difference probably will be the same
kfmcmahon : if it make you feel good, I have an RS and i went to medical school
