Wish I had one to show you. That said the color did grow on me and I do like it on the RS. Maybe it was after riding in one for two days, but I do like it now.
Go see it in person for sure.. i looked at dozens of them online and when i finally saw it at the dealer 100% it was not what i thought the color was in the pics..
It's one of those colors that changes, but it's always very orange. You'll never mistake it for red.
There's all these "salmon" comments that float around about it, but I don't understand why. There are some pictures that make it look like that--and way more people have seen pictures of LO than seen it in the flesh.
It is a great color with black accents. But I'm biased. I saw it on another GTS and then later on a 991.1 GT3. Honestly I liked it better on my car than the GT3, because the GT3 didn't have black wheels. I have not seen it on an RS in the flesh.
I have one here in Colorado, and yes the color does change. It also is different on different cars. Prior to buying the car I only had a 718 boxster in Lava orange to judge it by, totally different color on that car, also just saw a 991R in Lava Orange very different color compared to my own RS. My own color match key is a different shade to the actual car.........really crazy.
I have a friend that has the lava orange RS and I find it stunning. I considered it for the .2 GT3. I concur that it is the best non-PTS RS color, IMHO.
Truck is awesome as well. Over 10K on my Avalanche Grey Raptor....overall a great job by Ford
Thanks! Yes, I was pleasantly surprised by how awesome that truck is. I had never owned a Ford or even a truck for that matter but I am constantly amazed by the quality. It hauls the car and trailer really well for not really being that kind of a truck.
I hope this helps. I'm in Central Jersey. My car has a stealth expel satin wrap however. To me the RS looks best in orange . To me it's ridiculous to think the RS looks better in a PTS because it's a PTS color. Colors are colors. It's subjective. The only other color I like better than the lava orange would be the Gelbgrun. Not because it's a PTS but because I like the color .
Lava orange was the launch color for the .1RS. PAG picked it for a reason. Very simply stunning on the RS.
