GT2 RS Pricing
Have to think long and hard about value of GT2 RS and especially the Weissach Package here in U.S. based on pricing and content vs ROW.
Comparison of UK pricing per my recent Goodwood trip:
UK:
GT2 RS: $267,690 inc VAT
Weissach Pkg w/Roll Bar & 6-Point Harnesses: $27,1444
Weissach Pkg w/o Roll Bar: $24,215
US:
GT2 RS: $294,250
Weissach Pkg w/Roll Bar & 6-Point Harnesses: NA
Weissach Pkg w/o Roll Bar & 6-Point Harnesses: $31,000
Like for like Weissach-spec'd car:
US: $324,250
UK: $291,905
US Premium: $32,345
And bear in mind that UK prices include 20% VAT, which means Porsche is taking even less on each sale.
Hard not to feel like there's a money grab going on in the U.S. (putting aside insane pricing markets like Aussie and New Zealand).

Porsche Cars North America can't enforce pricing from its franchised dealers.
Porsches is in business of making money for themselves, not for the flippers and dealers with their ADM's. They aren't Amway. If there's money to be made, they're the ones that want it.
Wait until the next gen 992 GT's come out You'll see +10% MSRP easily if not more.

UK cars look cheap on a relative basis, because currency has depreciated 15% since Brexit. Put the prices back to pre-Brexit forex rates and they are very similar to US.
A decent Weissach spec is very similar to a decent 488 or Huracan Performance price in UK

Ultimately it hurts all enthusiasts, more so with very serious enthusiasts such as yourself who truly drive these machines as intended. These want it now, pay any price, all about value buyers need to move onto another brand asap.

Secondary market premiums are much higher in U.K., it's just that official dealers can't adjust at first sale.
pretty sure it's US trade law that means they can't impose same price restriction on dealers

One cannot compare base rices. There are country specific options included. To do a fair comparison cars have to be equipped the same which may not always be possible (hint: different headlight output due to DOT regs, warranty, etc.)

I was offered a gt2rs spot for $150k add that to price of the car, almost $500k, f that...I'd probably buy one at msrp...

Candidly speaking; this is the first model where Porsche is pricing it to the market. The problem is we all expect Porsche to under price their cars relative to competition. No way should any one pay iver MSRP- rather have a Performante

I started back peddling on my interest in this thing when I saw price tag and heard exhaust note. But if I'm able to land one at MSRP, I won't pass up chance to try out a 700hp rwd 911......I just don't have the will-power to avoid it. They priced it RIGHT at my point of indifference. Probably not an accident.
