ADM
I know there has been a lot of discussion on ADM especially on the new GT3. I just got the announcement from Porsche on the new GT2RS and the last line on the announcement (which only went to 918 VIPS) said "DEALER SETS ACTUAL SELLING PRICE". If you were wondering why ADM had been allowed now you know. I just hope the MSRP dealers don't change their policies.
The VIPS appeared to be guaranteed a car so this may be another 911R in regards to availability to us mortals.

As much as I don't like it msrp is what it is - "suggested" price. So if the dealers set price and the vehicles consistently sell at higher than msrp wouldn't it make sense for the manufacturers to raise the msrp thus yield more profit??? The msrp in my opionion was a price set to ensure that a dealer can remain profitable and sustain a dealership. The manfs don't want dealers going out of business. So if the dealers can establish a new suggested price there's more profit for the selling parties and if the consumer is willing to pay then in theory all parties get what they want. Albeit some of us will not be able to afford that game but hopefully the manf can throttle it a tiny bit. The bean counters will find that happy medium. There's math and statistics behind all of this!

I think you are correct on both. I have had multiple "direct allocations" from multiple manufacturers and I pick the delivering dealer and they sell it at MSRP.

991GT2RS will become 991R part 2.0 although on a smaller scale as there is less demand for a $300k+ high HP turbo car than a $200k NA canyon driver.

VIP Allocations are called "on top" allocations and only affect the available car pool or nationwide total but not dealer pool.

Dealers set the actual selling price on every single vehicle they sell.

[QUOTE=C.J. Ichiban;14378445]Lots of new money guys think they will sell for huge money and therefore ADM is huge.
Yep- so true
If I were some one who could not secure a .2 GT3 allocation unless one has to pay a stupid ADM and really want a Manual; I would grab a GT4. You can buy a lightly used one at MSRP. Save yourself $75,000. Sure, will not have the insanity of the GT3 engine will provide but still a hell of a car for the money and no slouch

The 918 VIP program show that you can give the allocations directly to the customers and it would work. I doubt many 918 VIPs are unhappy about the dealer they "chose"
