lol, buy a manual 991.2 GT3 and get a better car spec'ed to your preference for well under half the price of this R. Stripes can be added to the GT3 at minimal cost ...

to me, it's similar to the 911 50th edition. Albeit inflated in price.
-pepita interior
-special badging
-limited production
but the R gets
-500hp 4.0L from the GT3RS ( any Finger follow issues???)
- magnesium roof
-Gt3 brakes/suspension
both cars can be had in a manual, so that's a wash.
honestly, If I wanted a limited edition and numbered car with manual/pepita interior I'd get the 50th. Plus you know your engine isn't likely to explode on you. (If they have similar issues to Gt3.

At that same price, I'd take the R over either the GT3 or RS for the street for both the toned down look and the more compliant suspension. As a road going Porsche, I don't think you could get a more perfect car than that 911R. But that's why they have different model variants; tastes vary. Shame they didn't produce the 911R in more volume.
I offered $225k for this car, expecting a call back any...never.

Some say some unicorn "special feel" too. Hasn't been able to be confirmed. Probably software steering related.

Well, in the members' defense, you did post this in the general sub forum, so it's not like people ****ting on a FS ad in the classifieds. And you had to know that this is a sore subject among a number of people on RL.

The MSRP 223K is actually a well optioned car by the sticker price. There must be more options than on the picture. Most base optioned 911Rs are usually in the 205-210K range. Just looking at the options listed, I don't think it would break the 200K mark. IMO
