Default Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen (IMSA)

Anyone headed to Watkins Glen this weekend for the Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen?

Two noteworthy items of interest for Porsche fans:

I am 99.99999% confident that the 911 RSR will be utilizing the updated (and much louder) exhaust that debuted at Le Mans; a few friends who were in La Sarthe said the car sounded terrific.

Former Ferrari driver Gianmaria Bruni makes his long-awaited debut in Porsche overalls this weekend, teamed with Laurens Vanthoor in the #912 car. FSW has conveyed to Hindhaugh that those two are his ideal GT driver pairing. He takes the place of Kevin Estre, which pleases me.

I will be there beginning either Friday PM or Saturday AM.

I want to be there all day Saturday but (1) I have to work occasionally, and I'm driving to the race from Chiraq; (2) the weather looks inclement on Saturday as of now - http://www.racecastweather.com/blog/...rs-of-the-glen

Haven't seen GT3 Cup or CTSCC race since Sebring (!)

Just got back in front of a computer today, really enjoyed a long weekend in Upstate New York. It was my first visit to Watkins Glen.

A so-so race for the Porsche factory team, as both the 911 and 912 suffered from punctures, and the 912 also served a penalty. The revised exhaust configuration is borderline too loud, makes the Corvettes sound tame by comparison. Gimmi Bruni made an impressive debut as a factory driver.

C.J. - Almost didn't recognize you in the Seneca Lodge parking lot!

I'm sorry I almost snubbed you. Only the ink on your forearm made the connection for me.

The RSRs sound incredible. And yes, they make the Corvettes sound like crap by comparison. Much more exotic sound. How high those RSRs rev? Same 9K as GT3s, or higher? Thx.
