I own 2016 Spyder, along with 7 other Porsches including 2014 GT3, 16 GT4, 17 911 Targa 4S, 74 914, plus few other Older & newer Porsches, and the 16 Spyder is absolutely one of my favorite. If i have to pick one car only to keep it would probably be the Spyder.
I have made few minor modifications to suspension by adding GT3 front lower control arms, tie rods / caster pucks, and adjustable rear toe links, along with aggressive alignment 2.7F, 2.5R camber, also upgraded the rubber to RE71r 245F, 295R on the stock factory wheels, and it really has transformed the car. For less than $3500 the car is so much fun to drive on street or track. I have taken it to few track & autocross events and it does hang with the best. I was able to achieve TTOD on several PCA autocrosses on street tires, beating GT3’s and modified cars running on sliks. It is such a fun car to drive, sounds & looks amazing, and gets more looks than my other Porsches.
Congratulations on your new car and look forward to hear your impressions after driving it. My recommendation is that you get a better & wider tires on the car along with the alignment & suspension modifications like I did, as it will transform the driving experience. PM me if you need more info about the modifications. Mark

me too , but only if also spec'd with factory A/C delete , since I now live in the mild coastal part of the SF Bay Area , not in my birthplace/home town of " Fresburg " with avg 95-105 deg temps Jun - Aug and ergo the reason for one of my personalized plates honoring California's " mother road " :

CJ , thx for answering for me , re A/C delete
( as a side note , most homes here in Palo Alto , esp the many, most desirable $5-20 million heritage ones , do not have nor need A/C ..our neighbors thought we were indulgent when we added it to our 80 yr old English Country Tudor -but just to our upstairs only - during a remodel a few yrs back ! )

even here in SF Bay Metro Area , you need it just across the Bay ..the dozens of terrain-related microclimates here have avg/normal summer high temps ranging from fog shrouded 55-60 along Pacific Ocean coast to sun-baked 95-105 just 20 miles inland from the sea !
( 90% of my sporty driving is between the " refreshing" side of the Bay Area and iconic NorCal/ Pacific Coast Highway 1 , so the A/C on button on my sports cars are almost never activated except to occas keep the compressor lubed and rubber seals / lines fresh )
