So ironic that year and half ago they had to be discounted to get them off dealers lots !
I think there was so much noise with the GT cars being released there was too much candy on the shelf, and they were over-looked for sure. It's a replacement for me M4 CAB that I'm wish I never purchased. BMW killed the car with the turbo my opinion. Will be the first time since 1999 I will not have a BMW handy.

My wife and I recently enjoyed a road trip in our 981 Spyder and it was perfect - open air, great engine, exhaust note, good stereo, terrific gearbox...perfect summer touring car. Everywhere we went, people asked about it - at stop lights, parking lots etc. Nobody had ever seen one. Everyone loved it.

I really don't think the spyder needs ceramics...the car is super light and stops on a dime with the big reds.

Agreed, and the Spyder brakes don't dust near as much as the GT4. I'm a PCCB zealot, but I'd do standards on the Spyder.

This is my personal opinion, in no way reflective of GMG at large. The Spyder will be the first Porsche in my garage. To steal a slogan from a certain automotive manufacturer who has insistently jumped the shark in recent years, the spyder (to me) is "Sheer driving pleasure".

Love the black on black that was my first choice was sold after my offer. Actually I'm happy once I say the grey in person. Enjoy in good health.

[QUOTE=Archimedes;14283928]Loved mine, but I don't think it was underpriced at all. I think they priced it perfectly, as evidenced by the fact that they had to discount them near the end to sell out the last of the inventory. Good car, but I think it's a $90-$100k car and no more.[/QUOTE

The problem was timing. People were fighting for GT4s and GT3s. Some Dealers panicked and discounted to move. I was at my Dealer during this time frame and he was trying to buy them all from other Dealers because he saw them for what they were- a gem

There may never be another NA Spyder

You forgot the TWO TRUNKS!! the amount of storage available in this car is incredible. You couldn't create a more efficient sports car shape!

You are going to fall in love. Truly.. in the visceral sense. You'll get a chubby and it won't be awkward.

Agreed! I love the storage capacity. Really a terrific and versatile car. Nothing like it on the road.

Fwiw it's worth
Was at lime rock this weekend first time driving the gt3 on the track
Putting down a 1.02 lap time vs the spyder of 1.03 last year
The spyder is very capable track car too and that's w oem pads and stock alignment

But decided she is too pretty to be a track rat car

You guys who have scooped one recently, what sort of prices over MSRP are Spyders pulling? Will be regrettably selling mine soon and trying to gauge.

There's a pricing discussion thread over in the 987-981 forum at the moment. You might want to post the question over there as well.

Put about 100kms on my car right after picking it up. I loved my C2S, but this car just feels more alive. It's growing on me pretty fast. Gonna be driving it down to the Glen, and fingers crossed there won't be rain

depends on ur spec. LWB is a must for a top dollar sale. If you have a nice color, lwb, didn't go crazy with useless options, and less than 5k miles - I think you can get 5k over sticker.
