New V4 Panigale
Ugh.. this is like having kicked the heroin habit and the dangerous rockstar crowd you used to hang with.. and then your best buddy from back in the day shows up with some glam chick with long legs a miniskirt and heels and asks you if you want to "hang out like the old days"...
The speed of race bikes is the most addictive things imaginable to me.. i switched to cars to preserve my body and my sanity.. but then something like this comes out... <400lb, 220hp... V4 motogp-derived engine.. just take me now, how can I resist?

our buddy Matt (Ducati1199) on here understands my dilemma...

An ex-girlfriend of mine used to work at Borgo Panigale in the early 2000's.
Gave up on Italian bikes after my 998R and MV F4, but this has me tempted too...
Looks very nice 'undressed'!

I was like: "no way they came in under 400lbs on this bike..." so I had to check. 430lbs dry. Wicked impressive machine, however. And....one I'll never ride. Gave up bikes in 2006. Still makes me ache though.

i still have a serious soft spot for the diablo and always will. Ill buy one just to look at and reminisce one of these days. Was my ultimate sign of success and a dream car as a young one

“The Ducati Panigale V4 S also features a lithium-ion battery, forged aluminum Marchesini wheels, and a cast magnesium subframe (the base model subframe is made out of aluminum). This brings the weight on the Panigale V4 S down to a mere 383 lbs dry (430 lbs wet).”

The crazy part, is that with a v4 it is only 11lb heavier than the outgoing L2!!

You can resist because it'll run so hot that your *** will feel like you're sitting on a frying pan once the bike warms up, it'll fuel horribly at low revs, and it'll invariably have something wrong that requires a recall. So, based on my experience owning them, it'll be a typical Ducati. Truth be told, my 848 was one of my favorite motos.
