Opinion on "daily" driver sports car; Z/28 or M2
Figure I'll sway away from the normal banter of the GT2 RS, .2 allocations, etc. Trying to save the GT3 for more of a weekend vehicle vs. driving more daily, thus my question.
Looking at getting a new daily driver "car" and debating between going European or American big block HP. Any advice from those who have driven both of these cars? Looking at a 15' Z/28 and a 16' M2.
They might see a light DE day here or there so hence the track focused car, but swaying towards the M2 given a bit more refinement. However, naturally aspirated V8 is a weakness, just like the GT3's are for all of us here.

Sure sounds like a low-mileage E92 M3 may be a good option for you. I know it would be used.... but it would sure tick a lot of your boxes.
Otherwise ... M2. I don't like the lack of driver visibility in the Camaro.

Had M2 now have M3. M3 with mild tuning makes it a real beast and fun as hell to drive. Car only weight 3500 or 100 more than M2 in actuality. And it gains bespoke motor, real M suspension, real M brakes, and interior is not as cheap as M2.

^^^ What he said.
M3 is a fantastic DD. And it'll blow the doors off most cars, particularly when tuned.
Only bad thing thus far is the sound of the Exhaust. Thankfully the RS more than makes up for that...

So many great sporty daily drivers out there right now. I think the first question we need to ask is what is your price range? New or used?
As for me I would rather have the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifolgio over an BMW M3

Those are very cool cars. I hope the sharing of that engine with Aston-Martin inspires a sharing of the Aston's 7-spd Dogleg Manual with AMG.
Sort of amazing to think that the AMG 4.0L S monster motor makes the same power as the also 4.0L GT3, while having 2 more cylinders and 2 more turbochargers. No contest on torque though...
