I found it on Autotrader as a private sale. Talked to the owner yesterday and he says it's currently on consignment at a local dealer. When I googled the VIN there is also a previous for sale ad from Texas on ebay. Owner tells me he's owned it since brand new but tried to sell it earlier this year and the ad is from back then.

Any input on this dealer or the actual car (if you knew it locally) would be appreciated!

Thank you to all that offered to help. I had to back out from the deal due to discrepancies between what I was told by the person who claims to be the 'personal' owner and the dealer where the car is on 'consignment'.

Car was advertised for sale by private seller on Autotrader. Then came the stories... to much. From here on I'm just going to stick to rennlist classifieds and Porsche CPO.

I happen to know this dealer and the owners personally, they are legit guys who recently sold a fellow rennlist members Black Gt3 for full asking price. ( check it out) I went to go take a look at the red Gt3 personally and the car is flawless! I think this guy had a bad experience with maybe a previous sale or purchase of a vehicle.I can vouch 100% for this dealer and who cares what the "supposed" owner says bottom line is the car is a clean car inside and out from the PPI inspection they have completed. I also asked the owners whats the deal on this, they are ready to let it go for 145K. Making one of the lowest Gt3 in my opinion. Hope this guy finds what hes looking for but again this dealer is well known and legit as I bought my Cayenne GTS from him. Good luck with your search.

When you asked what the deal was, did they explain the discrepancies spelled out here?

I never asked what the story was on the car. I just took a look at it and it had a PPI from Porsche of San Diego and a clean carfax which they both provided for me.

That is unfortunate as it sounds like a good car but when you have stories that don't line up then you naturally lose confidence and walk away.
