991 GT3 Concerned Owners Group - Charity in Lieu of Travel Donations
 

As you may know, five members of the 991 GT3 Concerned Owners Group will be meeting with a delegation from Porsche in late July or early August in Atlanta. A lot of people have offered to contribute funds towards our travel expenses, which will be in the ballpark of $1,000 plus per attendee, factoring in airfare, hotel and rental car costs. We sincerely appreciate all your offers.

Instead of accepting contributions to pay for our travel expenses, we have decided to setup a donation page, with all proceeds going to the victims of the Manchester attack. This accomplishes two goals. First, your donation helps people (many children) with much more serious problems than "finger follower wear." They need our help.

Second, every dollar we raise is a vote for our cause. This sends an important message. We would appreciate it if you would consider giving anything you can. While we have already made significant progress, we cannot do this alone.

Awesome idea, but you should change the title of your thread. It reads like you are asking for donations for your travel expenses, which may keep people from clicking.
