Porsche charges a similar price tag just for alcantara sun visors and this seems like a large area for the price.
No, the area marked by the arrow becomes Alcantara instead of plastic. The lower door trim with the pocket stays plastic no matter what.

I am even more confused now because Nick was talking about the $690 door option. The area you are pointing to (the glovebox?) I thought became alcantara with the full leather option anyway.

Seriously, this is really not confusing, did you read the previous posts? He's not pointing to the glovebox, he's pointing to the little sliver which is visible when the door is shut... almost nothing. That little piece of plastic gets covered, only visible with door open. So, For the last time, this is what you get with the extended door package, nothing more, nothing less.

I believe red stripes are the added Alcantara area on a GT3 with the door option.

Door trim package looks like a big waste of money to change 2 square inches that you could see with the door closed.

Yes, that is exactly what I understood from the prior posts, thanks. This is what has always been included. I guess the way Nick described it, seemed like a really significant option to him even after the green color coded picture was posted, so thought maybe he got some conflicting info. The red arrow was vague.

Honestly I have never looked at this part of the door.

You're correct the red stripe area will be black Alcantara with the option. The rest of the shaded green will be leather. Without the option all the green shaded areas will be Porsche plastic. Is it worth $690? Probably not. But the option does complete the entire leather interior. Why disrupt the flow of leather and alcantara with plastic?

Deleting/not choosing the redline on the steeringwheel makes the world of difference - alot better without IMO.

Does anyone have pictures of the leather trim with the regular leather interior? I'm considering this, but I've only seen Eduardo's standard interior with leather trim. Thanks!
