Seen it happen on many cars. The battery might have a bad cell in it.

The car isn't driven much with only 6,000 miles since 2014. Do you have it on a Battery Tender when the car is parked in the garage?

Second this. I've had several Porsche, and they all do crazy catastrophic stuff like this when the battery is dying/weak - even though it had plenty of juice to start the car.

The dealer finally got the problem identified and resolved. It was an issue with the CANbus and the connection to my data logger. I don't have pictures because I haven't picked up the car yet, but I suspect the CANbus was getting grounded out.

One other thing to point out, I am not connected via the OBDII port. I am hard wired into the CANbus. Just a cautionary warning to all you guys running data loggers hard wired to the CANbus. It didn't damage the car, but it made it damn near undrivable.

Also, I didn't do the install. It was "professionally" installed.
