For 991.2 GT3 I'm going back to Bi Xenon PDLS because:

- I didn't find the LED significantly better
- The 911 LED are not as nice IMO as the other P car LED or even other brands like Mercedes
- Exterior color matters. I've ordered white with black wheels. The LED suit the other exterior colors better.
- The LED are very common on 911 where I live
- I ordered a lot of options like Full Leather, Bose, 18-way Seats, Red Dials, Carbon Fiber, etc so I wanted to prove to myself that I'm not a total sucker for options and can actually say no to some options!
Hi there . Very interesting comment. What exterior colours do you think will suit Black LED. I have LED on Cayenne GTS and PDLS on Carrera S which i am going to sell. For .2 GT3 i am planning to get black LED

Is the housing for PDLS darker (black) compared to the OEM lights? I could not tell from the configurator if there was a difference.

Im looking and am seeing 4 insets around the bulb...wow if they do that is a great revision by P! Totally on board to get the PDLS upgrade and wrap the outline in black now.
Yes, although when lit they're form a smaller circle of 4 lights as compared to the LEDs. I'd like to see these lit at dusk.

It looks like the inside housing for the PDLS is black but the outer ring around the headlight is gray. If you order LED with Black PDLS the outside ring around the headlight is black.

I'm almost afraid to ask, but has anyone ever attempted to open the lights and swap any of the trim bits out? Or is it even possible to acquire the parts?

The xenon pattern looks so much better to me.. I'm willing to forget about the grey outer edge or just wrap it, and save the $2200 difference AND get a headlight pattern I prefer. The LED just isn't attractive to my eyes.. something about that ring just doesn't quite fit...

As I am. No LED for me.

But I need to find out of the ordering PDLS with the Zenon gets you a darker housing over none PDLS. I am ordering GR and the darker housing would look better over the Zenon only lights.

Agree completely. Plus LEDs weigh 10lbs more, and aren't brighter on high beams, just brighter on low beams than Xenons. Brighter high beams I would pay for, but not low beams. So I'm glad to save the 2 grand and have a better looking light pattern.

I'm also getting GR (again). I got the black Xenons last time and loved it. I'm not sold on LEDs as described above, so I'm thinking PDLS as PDLS definitely gets you darker headlights than non PDLS, so basically a dark grey, but not as black as "LED with black headlights".

Black Xenon are not an option on the configurator. Only the LED with PDLS are offered in black. Not worth 3K to me.

non PDLS Bi-Xenon headlights (standard on US GT3) have the silver interior housing walls. PDLS Bi-Xenon headlights have black interior housing walls. However, don't confuse this with PDLS in black which is not offered anymore. PDLS B-Xenon still have the projector in chrome and headlight outer circle ring in grey. 991.1 PDLS in black had interior projector in black chrome and headlight outer circle ring in black as well.

yes, that's because I was clearly referring to my 991.1 GT3. Black Xenons were an option for the 991.1 GT3.

chaossoul nicely just described the color options for the 991.2 GT3 headlights.

That picture is exaggerated with regards to LED lights. The four leds are not so distinctively visible. It's rather the whole ring lighted up.
LEDs are brighter low and high beam. Check Nick video (the funny guy with his little dog) comparing both. And I am pretty sure LEDs there are still restricted.
