Here is bumping my own thread.

Has anyone succeded in radio delete, retrofit? The reason no to spec it with my build is second hand value. (plus having the possibility to refit the media if i change my mind)

My porsche center claim its not possible to "code it out of the system". Ordering the piece of plastic is easy ofcourse.

Thankful for any advice on the subject.

Used the BOSE all over Europe.. I'm not an audiophile but I think it was great! Very enjoyable...

it don't matter, BOSE will save you!!!!

even set to loud the sound was clear and really good.. even at 200kph on autobahn.

We would have missed out on many of these laughable situations (not to mention "how to seduce youngish Japanese girls when visiting Tokyo" podcasts)


Just get the stereo already and stop sweating some idea of purity or future value.. sheesh!

if you will sell it keep it, and turn it off. if not keep it and turn it off, if you do not like music keep it and turn it off.

BTW My dealer upgraded the code in my PCM and the car "sounds" a lot better. I do not care what anyone tells me the car (engine) sound like a different car, not just me but 2 other guys and a woman friend who is completely oblivious to cars said "did you get another new car! Why are they all silver".
The only way I would be convinced otherwise would be to disconnect all the speakers and the car sound the same.

GT3 and AC/DC. That's living the life. Get the Bose or base radio. Turn if off and it's a black screen. I don't think having the radio will affect resale. In fact, you may have a tougher time selling it later. Either way, I love music and I love Porsches. Why not have both. These cars are being used more and more as daily drivers. Sitting behind a red light with no music might be something you'll regret too. And you can't beat the 80's!!
