Default Memory Function on 991.2 GT3 with Adaptive Seats 18-Way

On the 991.1 GT3 and the RS, the adaptive 18-way seats did not come with electric steering adjust nor the memory function.

On the 991.2 GT3 I can see the memory buttons on the configurator visual upon selecting the 18-way seats. Upon choosing the 4-way seats, the memory buttons disappear giving a clear indication that the memory function should be there with 18-way seats. However, the write up does not mention the memory function. My dealer is still confirming this.

Wonder if anyone else has already looked into this?

I would be nice to have the memory and comfort entry/exit feature on the GT3 like the other 911. In the absence of the additional functionality with the 18-way seats, I might be able to live with the 4-way seats and save $2k.

GT4 didn't have memory function either. I think it would be safest to assume it doesn't have it until someone confirms otherwise (i.e. Why would they change now?)

The 18-ways have memory function according to the press release.

'There are two other seat options available for the 911 GT3. The Adaptive Sport Seats Plus offer an 18-way electric adjustment along with a power steering column and seat memory.'

Hmmm. I asked this very question to my OPC in March when ordering my car. He checked with PAG and the reply came back "no memory function". So either the press release is wrong, or PAG advised my dealer wrong.

This happened with .1 as well. No memory for seats was the reality then and likely now as well.

Yes, but did the press release for the .1 also state that the memory function would be included? I find it incredulous that ALL GT press releases would be inaccurate.

Even the configurator for the .1 GT3 listed seat memory. That caused those who ordered the 18-way sofas to get a refund of the option price when they whined.

The current configurator does not list seat memory. Apparently Porsche learned the hard way! LOL

The German configurator lists memory function for the 18-ways. So if it's actually not available, Germans might have the opportunity to get free 18-way seats

You should talk to some of the early 991.1 GT3 adopters who ordered the 18-way seats.

The configurator is strikingly inconsistent here. English and French-speaking countries all list the 18-way seats without reference to memory function. The German configurator in contrast does make reference to the seat coming with a "comprehensive memory package". Hilariously, the Swiss German configurator says they do come with memory, whereas the Swiss French and the Swiss Italian configurators don't. So depending on what language you speak in Switzerland, you either do or don't get memory with your 18-ways, which is patently nonsense. Best of all, though, the Brazilian configurator says the 18-way seats in the GT3 come "with leather-clad backing in the Turbo S version". Ahem.

Bottom line is I don't think the configurator is at all accurate. All versions bar the German and Swiss German ones omit reference to memory, so I reckon that's the most likely state of affairs.
