Honestly -- I don't know. Rented bike, and hopped on. I'm an idiot like that. I felt like I was missing "first" at times? I guess whatever ships on a Tarmac of that level?

Good memories of Gibraltar, which tested my college car pretty well. Can't imagine the ascent on a bike. Had to be a good feeling—and a fun ride down...
Yes, you are spot on for the location. Cabrillo, just past the skate park.

I passed three motorcycles on the way down... Yes, they were cruiser motorcycles out for a cruise, but it was still fun.

College car -- let's see -- have I read enough of your stuff to go ahead and say...914?

And yes, thank you for 000. What a pleasure. I think the smell is the best part! (Kidding. Sort of.)

Love it.

Nope. $1 Plymouth Reliant > Merkur "Xerati," the two cars that tuned the 914 into an "occasional use" car and probably saved it.

Pretty sure the K-car wheezed its way up Gibraltar at least once, not sure about the XR4Ti.

You are welcome, and I am strangely a fan of the smell, also. Didn't expect the aroma when the first copies arrived in late 2016...something entirely new after all those years of Exc and Pano.

Chris -- they really do work. We drove through this thing in Italy. Cross winds were severe.

Didn't want to stop, however, schedule was tight and wasn't about to miss the destination that afternoon:

And here he is desperately trying to keep up with the Mooty Machine.
(Full well realizing Mooty was being very kind indeed on pace...)
Biking, food, and Porsches. Super fun.
Thanks again for your great hospitality.

I think I saw you leaving from Alice's? You were alone heading toward Saratoga. Very interesting day, I was going to meet up with some people and found myself in a group of lambo's and GTR's instead. Decided to back off from them.

I was safely inside Alice’s having breakfast with a friend. Did see the Italian-Japanese train.
