Mooty and Pete - good to see you both at Luft.

What a show! Really enjoyed the backlot backdrops, d'uh.

I am still processing mentally, and going through pics.

What a great day. Morning; afternoon; evening.

Well, while you guys were playing with air cooled Porsches, I went out and abused myself on the bike. Already had over a 100 miles in for the week commuting to work. This one hurt as a result.

Also decided to play fuel truck last night and swap over from 91 to E85 on the EVO. Haven't been this paranoid carrying cargo since...well back in the 80's

worked with a guy years ago who converted his Evo IX over to E85.
he was running larger turbos, but can't remember which ones.

is this part of a bigger plan for the car?

No. I went that route on my last EVO and learned that for me, it ruins that balance of the car. On E85, my car is a little over 410hp/tq. It is plenty for back road fun and occasional track days. Big turbos result in big numbers and unusable power bands except for drag racing (which bores me). I know a lot of EVO's end up with 500whp but I find the trade off for that power not worth it.

I trust the good doctor removed the hardware? That was always my preference in case you fall on the same hand - steel doesn’t play nice against bone in a crash.

Drove around with the roof down in the cold. Had the heater on. Went fast enough my cap blew off but it blew onto the passenger side seat. Lol. Now I want a single turbo.

Depends on the injury. I believe most hardware comes out in hand surgeries but thought I’d ask given the pics posted.

No need to remove hardware unless it's causing pain/irritation.

No fear of landing on the same hand and allowing the steel to shred the bone? I’ve had as much metal in my hand and all was removed. With three hand surgeries from bike falls (and bowling &#127923, I’m a high risk. Lol
