First wash, after putting on my first ~1,500 miles! I don't have anywhere to do it myself, so a friend generously leant me his driveway, power washer, and foam cannon

Embarking on a four day road trip with a buddy on Monday. San Francisco down to Pasedena; then Angeles Crest to Ojai and Santa Barbara; Pacific Coast Highway to Monterey; and finally back to San Francisco via the Santa Cruz Mountains.

San Francisco down to Pasedena; then Angeles Crest to Ojai and Santa Barbara; Pacific Coast Highway to Monterey; and finally back to San Francisco via the Santa Cruz Mountains.

Ok - so for trip south, check these out, this is what we did with the drive a month ago:

101 to hollister
then 25 S to 198 W
Then you can do 101 S (we went to coast for lunch)
To Santa Maria
In Santa Maria take foxen canyon to 154
Then take 154 over the hill to 101

On 33. It was a rockfest. You need to go a little later as they plow it around 7-8am it seems. All the rain and the weather now changing has a lot of debris. Otherwise the road is awesome.

But, I highly suggest 33 to 58. 58 was insane good. :-) IT may be one of my favorites

Off 58 catch a random small road up to Paso and have lunch. Thats what we did.

Then 25 back north again.

Default Trackside at Spring Mountain

Being trackside at one of the Spring Mountain condos while depreciating my car does not suck...

Thanks so much for the tips! I saw your pictures from a week or two ago, and it's inspired a good deal of my route

I pre-booked the hotels, since I know where I want to end up each night and a sense of the roads I want to hit along the way. Figuring 6-8 hours per day in the car, with an emphasis on good roads, scenery, and food

T-minus one day until my road trip! Took my co-pilot out for a spin today, so he could experience/learn the car.
