what an interesting day
i have two bikes in garage.
white and black
i loaded water
changed
and off I go

down the hill, i realized i’m on the wrong bike. no water

it’s a short flat ride. so whatever just go

then feeling good, I decided to do 32 miles with climb instead of 17 miles flat. i was faster than yesterday

toward the last 10 miles of the ride on the flat a chick with bigger calf than I, blew by me. fk i’ll chase her down. so i did. and every climb I will pass her. she will get me once if flattens out; we played back and forth was fun.

home; eat breakfast in backyard

I had tea,
plate of pastry,
slippers, and scratch paper in two hands

open the patio door going to throw slipper down so i can wear it

well guess what
instead of slippers I threw the plates down ugh....
10 min cleaning the mess

now relax

Two posts in one:

Yesterday, picked up my freshly sorted and tuned Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX. I know, low rent for this forum but I'm a believer that a good driving experience comes in many shapes and sizes. To me, this car is one of the really great ones, especially considering price. The ingredients: ****box sedan chassis; check. incredible 4 banger turbo able to handle 500hp on stock block: check. Manual tranny; check. AWD system from WRC rally cars; check. Stock chassis capable of magic; check. No nannies or stability controls; check!. I sent it to a buddy's shop in LA for some maintenance and a few mods. The result is a very conservative 400hp/tq on E85 in a 3000lb wish chassis. Not bad given the price of admission is less than the tax on a 2RS.

Less fun: Went riding up to Mt. Tam today. As we came around a corner we found a man pointing down the hillside. Around 600' down the hillside was the remnants of a car that had gone off the road. There wasn't much left. Airlift came and sadly, the driver didn't make it. There were no skid marks or indications of avoiding going off. Not sure what happened but the only things I can think of are catastrophic mechanical failure or intentional drive off. Truly sad no matter what the cause.

Good adventure and you will most likely think twice next time you throw something out of your hands LOL.

OLH climb post wreck... getting back in the groove. PR was 21:57, so hitting 22-23 in off season is not bad, especially with one hand in splint haha

Still thinking about the chick testing you, throwing down the challenge? response? Grrr plates instead. Is this a typical male response?

only one thing to do with that Evo 9 - turn it into a proper rally car and go have fun.
