for a few years now my SO has been wanting to replace her SLK AMG that has served her well for over 10yrs. we looked at McLaren 570GT in 2016, but other life events took priority back then. started looking again the past few weeks and i made her a list of 2 door, sporty, coupes/convertibles to consider (R8, Aston, MBZ GTC/R, 570GT/Spider, Boxster Spyder, GT4, ...)

she was actually liking the Boxster Spyder -- she's not a 911 fan, so was happy to find a Pcar she liked other than our Macan -- but of course we were told that we wouldn't be able to get an allocation for the new one and she didn't want to buy a used 2016. we were going to pop by Porsche again just to chat with them some more, but decided to swing by McLaren first....

was planned to be a "let's see what they have, see if you still like the 570GT and if so ask about ordering process" sort of outing. turned out they had a 2019 570 Spider sitting there that was spec'ed and ordered by someone who has a lot of high end cars and the build got delayed once or twice, so after 6months of waiting he bought something else. well, looks like Porsche has managed to lose another one to the Macca gang! and McLaren depreciation means this car is getting driven!!!

edit: oh, and now i have the slow cars in the house....

It's the MSO Papaya Spark color (same as new F1 car) which looked sort of flat when the car was inside...

But started looking much more vibrant when we dragged it outside...

we quite liked the two tone action of the roof and it not being body colored. has the stealth grey 10 spokers, the polished calipers, cabon fiber mirror caps and side vents.

as you can clearly see , this one has the MSO titanium sport exhaust. it wasn't supposed to get that, but in McLaren's push to get this one ready for the guy who initially ordered, that's what got installed. so turned into a nice freebie for us. that's a Ventura Orange 570S in the background for comparison.

MSO interior design with B&W stereo and some carbon fiber bits...

Very nice! When the 600LT came out, I was kind of sad that I had already put a deposit on the .2 3RS. I really like these cars. Waiting for a 720 or 750 LT in a spider version. Plus I need to save some more cash. haha.

You know I have some SERIOUS TALENTS

Many ppl ride bike and crash

I crashed BEFORE I got on my bike today.

I fell off three steps of stairs getting to the garage to get my bike ugh….. now one elbow is 2x bigger than the other. wife says I will not be able to move the elbow tmo. Oh well, I guess less chore to do all week muhahahah

so if I don't post tmo, then that mean my elbow is fkd up

two rides today up a painful climb near me, almost identical performance

Nice work Mooty - not easy to ride two climbs of that size b2b with same intensity/time. I hope the elbow recovers quickly.

Porsche Stevens Creek has a Riviera Blue GT3 Touring, an all Black GT3 RS and a GT Silver GT2 RS on the floor today.
The GT2 RS is sold, but the other two can be had for 50k over sticker! Run, don't walk!!!
