I actually have a ham leg holder. Not kidding. Would make good garage art. With a leg on it :-)

Mooty - are you switching to the Venge as your main bike? You like it that much better than the Tarmac?

i will ride both
remember in april i did 281Watt over 22:47 min up old la honda on tarmac disc with CLX 50
today i did 280Watts over 23:34 min up old la honda on venge disc with CLX 64. i was on target to mid 22's but i got too excited and lost concentration last 1/2 mile. uh...
below is wt chart in lbs
wheel wt delta on line one
T = tarmac V=venge
50 = CLX50
64 = CLX64

CLX50 vs CLX64 = .41
T50 vs V50 = .82
T50 vs V64 = 1.19

V is SIGNIFICANTLY stiffer than T. i am not sure i want it over 70 miles.
it FEELS faster, more pwr transfer
even with 64mm wheels i doesnt' seems to handle any slower.
descends it picks up speed scaringly fast. i almost went off cliff a few times b/c i only leaned enough to turn a T not enough for the highber speed of V
yes it will become the main bike
as such i am selling my 2nd Tarmac disc 1200 miles only
pls spread the words up at microsoft ;-)

My favorite days start with a bike ride in the morning, then followed by a tired leg Porsche drive in search of recovery food.

Spyerx: please airfreight a leg of Iberico to my house. I'll make sure it gets to mooty

Nizer: Beautiful GT. Some great angles on that car. How does it compare to other cars you've owned? Also, what is current market on that? (j/k...I couldn't help myself)

Decided to subject myself to some torture today and did Mt. Diablo with a group of the riders also trained by my coaching group. I figured I'd be by far the slowest as most are Crit racers. Wasn't the slowest thank god! A few lessons today: 1. I've come a long way from the last time I climbed Diablo. Knocked almost 30 mins of my time! Still slow, but improving a lot. 2. The S-Works Tarmac is f'ing awesome. I rode my Domane SLR last time. The Tarmac climbed like a monster and descended like a raped ape. Sure footed and communicative. 3. Diablo is hot as ***** in July (news flash, I know). It was 100F at the summit with no shade or breeze. Overall, still a great ride. The group never discussed bike values once either!

I thought this thread was about values..quit hijacking your own topic

Would be curious of your 911R and Touring comparo. Put it on YouTube and we have a new Chris Harris. I’ve heard YouTube celebrities can pull down $1,000 a year.

Nice pics mooty and that ford GT just scrumptious, really. Still partial to the gated boxster though.

Mooty - Thanks for the feedback and detailed weight specs - super useful. Pretty amazing how close the Venge is to the Tarmac with same wheels. I forgot you had two Tarmacs - so you can keep one for just climbing and have the Venge for all around riding. I will see if I can drum up some interest on your SL6. I hope Specialized is sending you commission checks for all the SL6s being sold in the NW based on your feedback

ChrisF - Nice ride up Diablo!
