Picked up an M2 - waiting on GT3
I picked up the M2 at the performance center in South Carolina.
What a great experience. Complimentary hotel, 3 meals, factory tour, 90 minutes of short track and off road in X5.
Now, I await a manual GT3 hopefully early next year.
Then I will have to decide what to do with the GT4.....
Cheers,
Brian

Looks great. I love how compact She looks. My favorite BMW model right now.
They really hit it off with this one
Except- which one stays next year - M2 or GT4??

As I posted earlier, I doubt I'll keep the GT4 and the GT3.
Cosmetically, I prefer the GT4.
Without the wing on the GT3, the GT3 probably wins on looks although those rear air intakes are somewhat of an eyesore.
For me, the appeal of the GT3 is of course the engine and mostly the manual option.
Ideally , a GT4RS would be the ultimate for me. I prefer the smaller interior feel of the GT4 to the 911.
As everyone knows, the GT4 is a little underpowered and gear ratios could be better.
Put 450hp, NA, manual in a GT4, and I think that might be my last car.
So.... I might replace the GT4 with the GT3 and then replace the GT3 with a GT4RS if they make it with manual.
Make any sense?
Cheers,
Brian

In summary, the GT4 is much more fun but then again, I think it's perhaps the most fun car ever built. Yeah, I know, strong statement....
M2 - The clutch is much lighter than GT4 and I prefer a very firm clutch.
Very hard to beat gearbox of GT4. But M2 very adequate.
The artificial M2 sound actually sounds good to me but nothing like GT4 or of course GT3.
Interior of M2 was cheapened compared to M3 or GT4. I am doing some cosmetic upgrades but even without them, interior is adequate and BMW had to cut some corners to create such a great value.
The M2 is a blast to drive and for me a near perfect daily driver. Hard to beat for the money.
Steering good but below GT4.
I love its aggressive bulldog look.
I considered and did briefly test drive a GT350 but much prefer the smaller profile M2. Gt350 wins for its engine but that's probably the only thing it beats the M2 on.
I'd choose the GT4 over the M2 very time for my fun driving time.
Cheers,
Brian

The M2 is my new daily driver which I intend to keep for 5+ years.
