Finally got a November allocation.. decisions decisions
Hi guys. Finally after a long wait got a call from my SA to offer me an allocation for a November built. Do you think i should ask for January 2018 built? would that make a difference? I live in Australia so car would arrive in Feb and registered here as a 2018 car.
I am also having daily change of mind regarding colour and seats
red ? white?? miami blue??? or wait for saffron yellow? even contemplating river blue if i get PTS in November
Seats, go with the cool looking Fixed bucket with or without cage or 18 way seats ? I have a cayenne GTS so Gt3 won't be daily driver.
wheels Black or platinum
I Have a 2013 Carrera S in white and Cayenne GTS in Jet black metallic. Ordering both was much easier. I am really struggling with the GT3
Good news i got till September so 4 month of reading all forums

Sounds like you want a little colour in your life! Go bold, like GR for now. If Saffron or PTS become available you might be able to switch then. If not a DD, then consider LWB and CS package. Either choice of wheels is great. Congratulations!

I agree with <3mph, if you're not DD it, get the LWB's. As far as colour goes, you will get all kinds of comments here, but only you know what colour will turn you on. Good luck and enjoy the next 4 months.

In terms of seats and interior the key question you have to ask yourself is - do you intend to track it and how often is that likely to occur?
In terms of colour, if you have a PTS slot, do a lot of looking before you decide - compare multiple photos taken in different lighting conditions. Also consider how this will look relative to the interior if you are adding some Porsche exclusive touches. Also consider the standard palette, personally I think guards red and racing yellow look stunning if they are contrasted with black trim/wheels.
The wheel colour will be informed by the body colour.
Don't worry about the build date thats largely irrelevant - if its built in Nov and you're in OZ you'll probably take delivery in Feb 2018.

Congratulations!
Regarding your thoughts on the color, I think all the standard colors suit the car well. Just an FYI, Saffron Yellow will not be available for the GT3 - only for the Turbo and Turbo S.
Regarding the seats, although I am almost the last person to encourage keeping in mind resale, the 18-way seats have historically been a stamp for making it impossible to sell. That being said, I also think the LWBs are decently comfortable and certainly look the part. I would vote for the LWBs.
