When andreas preuninger quits, I quit
So, just a thought..
This guy has been speaking the corporate speak since the 996GT3.
I've been aboard his product since the 996GT.
I was the biggest naysayer of the PDK, electric diff, center locks...
He was right when he said "Shut up and drive it."
I didn't believe it, so no 991 GT3 for me.
Then the RS came, so I had to, still pissed about selling the 997 4.0 and thinking my 964RSA Hot Rod was Gods gift to tracking....
So far he has got it so right.
Blew my mind with 9000RPM 4.0.
I am committed to buy whatever he is selling but when he quits (and I think Porsche cant afford it) I will be troubled to believe anything until proven.
Long story short, I trust what he's selling me.
Coolaide maybe but I am drink it.
Maybe he's just a good salesman, maybe he's just good at what he does. Or both. I'm buying every non LE RS I can get my hands on until he's no longer involved in the GT program.

^Agree with you. He has not sold us down the river yet. Sure - the 991 GT3 engine is still a sweet engine but obviously it has some design flaws. They tried to compensate for it deficiencies with design tweaks on F, G and the 4.0 RS/R. It is obvious they learned a lot and now we have this new engine in the .2 GT3 which will continue to develop and evolve. I am confident that they got this new engine right in the .2 but I am sure it will continue to be tweaked for the .2 RS and so on

I'm with Porsche and the RS until someone comes up with a legit alternative. The GT car game is annoying to me but I live with it because I like the car and have no choice that excites me at all. I want a streetable track car and the RS is the only option for me.
If the product declines after AP departs that will surely send me packing.

^^ exactly.
The AMG GTR is true competition, but until it proves itself on (Hot) tracks I would go for the GT2RS..
To go back to my original post, if AP says its good on track, I am making a wire, the GT R AMG hemmmm, unless I see a few at Sebring I think I will skip it.

Agreed. Have yet to drive a GT car that didn't both thrill me and NEVER let me down on track. Those are my base requirements for loosening the cash from my wallet.

An AMG GT R was here, Sebring, testing in the Chin event last weekend. The owner also had his $2.5M Ferrari Pagani here, which is a real piece of work.
No cars like that here with PCA this weekend except for .1GT3's and .1 GT3RS's.

Friends with money; I bought XYZ blablabla, had to get my car towed after 2 sessions or bought $10,000 in parts after 1 day!
Friends with track addiction; I bought AP Porsche GTx car, I replaced "brakes" last season LOL.

I am on team Peter here. Here is why:
1) Accessible - look how many places he shows up. I bet few of us would want his schedule
2) Approachable - from what I understand from many he speaks to everyone equally, and takes the time to fully answer questions
3) Data driven - In God we trust all others bring data. Listen to his answers. This I believe separates him from a typical salesman. Lots of numbers, measurements, tech info used in drawing his conclusions.
Andreas is #1 in my book, especially compared to his competitive brand counterparts.

I think he's a real deal car guy, harder and harder to find those people in senior / decision-making positions at the manufacturers. He's always in a position to sell the latest idea as the best, and things change over time so some call him a hypocrite. I get what he has to do, don't take the hyperbole seriously and know that the end result will be special.
